I understand what having a bike ‘between’ the other two means. When I want a lighter weight flickable hot rod I’ll ride my Z900RS. I’ve taken it thru eight states but it (is) a nekkid bike. Great for local day rides. I’ve managed nearly 30,000 miles on it in seven years. Getting mileage above 45 per gallon is easy to live with as well. On other days (or roads) the CBX feels like the right bike to take. Old, six carburetors, six cylinders, great sound especially above 9,000 revs. I rode my other one to Canada and Yellowstone NP and as far east as Mt. Rushmore, Devils Tower and the Crazy Horse monument. Had 106,000 miles on it when I sold it. Fine touring rig. I’ve ridden my current one over 8,000 miles in the year I’ve owned it. And then there’s the Busa and we all know how satisfying riding it is. Regardless of having several other bikes since 2006 I’ve managed nearly 90,000 miles on the Busa thru 11 states, also a fine touring rig. Not a bad hot rod either.
That’s a pretty good testament for Suzuki’s Hayabusa no matter how many other bikes we might have. Now, which one to take to Lolo…..
