Basic Land Speed questions

Ok, now that ECTA will be running in Ohio next year, I am re-gearing my dragbike to be a dual purpose adreanline producing machine.

It is a stock internal engine in an FBR atak frame, currently set up with a 7x15 slick. Plan is to run a car tire of some sort with some tread.
The engine has a murray sidewinder pipe, no airbox, and ECU hacked. Weight of bike is 350ish, rider and bike is 525.

Im trying to find out
1. A rough idea of the gearing I should run.
2. How much fuel I would need on 1 pass (JUST built a fuel cell that I think will be two small)
3. I currently run no radiator but to run a 3"x10" coolant tube, just an aluminum tube the water runs through. It is mounted right in the front of the bike. Wondering if this will keep me cool enough? if not I may just go to a small dirt bike radiator.
4. How much HP to run naked @ 200mph?

here is the bike. i know as of right now the body is not legal for non streamlined as it extends past the rear edge of the tire, i have an OEM busa tail on its way that i will re work to fit.

original lay out. i sold that fairing, and this was the old peg position. will probably throw a set of pegs back there again.

I may be wrong but I dont see that chassis running a land speed event. As a drag bike yes but full throttle running for over a mile it doesnt look like it would be too stable.

On the how much hp question I can say it like this. I dont beleive I've read here or anywhere else of someone going 200 mph with less than 190-200hp.

i suppose this bike is unstable to....

Hey guys and gals... Just stopping in to say Hey and Introduce myself and our organization.

My Name is Keith Turk and I'm the Race Director / Co Owner of the ECTA. We have recently been given permission to use the 9000' runway at the Wilmington Airpark in Wilmington Ohio. It is our intent to Hold Land Speed Racing events on the airpark 4 times next year and then hold events as needed in the future. The Dates are firming up and will be posted on our website in the next couple of weeks.

To Read about us or our organization you can check out our website at Welcome to ECTA

As a general overview though... we will race for one mile and then time the vehicle in the last 132' to establish it's top speed. It then slows down and clears the runway where upon we send the next vehicle. Once a run is complete you receive a time slip, If your time is a record... you proceed to an impound area where the Vehicle and record are certified. Then you get in line and start the process all over again.

So on and so forth.....now to the actual introductions.... There are 4 principal organizers of these events. Myself and my wife Tonya and our Partners Joe and Donna Timney, All Four of us our Motorcyclist's as well as Race car drivers. Each of us are members of multiple 200mph clubs ( meaning we've set records over 200mph ) Tonya and I are from Southern Alabama and Joe and Donna will be coming from Delaware. ( that's a tiny state out east somewhere)..( think really small )...

Anyway we've been looking for a New home as our lease has run it's course in Maxton North Carolina... We aren't simply looking for a new place to race... we're looking for a New Home, a place were we can have a long term relationship with not only a decent facility but a community as well....

Bottom line.... we're all genuinely excited.... your State and community have truly welcomed us with open arm's...

Thanks for taking the time to read my drivel.....

Be Safe, Go fast, Have fun!!!

If all you have is the pipe, I'm guessing less than 190 RWHP. You didn't mention fuel or NOS either, but go to gearingcommander.com and play with the calculator. Might want to run 2 down in the rear and see if you can hit 205.

We were at Maxton on the weekend of the 29/30 and broke to class records. I have been unable to find results for the events anywhere on line. Can anyone direct me to a list of records?
