America has been helped out numerous times in recent past by foreign aid for local catastrophes...

9/11 AND Katrina for instance.. we recieved foreign aid from other countries in the form of food, medicine, military assistance, doctors, money, etc....

Katrina wasn't exactly a shining momment in our American goverments ability to manage a disaster, however, it was a fairly impressive in regards to americans ability to help americans...

Goatkart I simply meant that other nations are not as giving instantly as us and I think some are waiting for us to fall.
We are a very giving nation and we give without question historically.
Just in these times we need to be careful how much we print and give away.

I guess it depends on whether you are saying a different one is right or all of them are wrong. Personally for me I don't believe it's likely that Christianity is wrong, however everyone must come to their own conclusions. There are people that believe cows are holy, while others believe all of this (even something as simple as this forum) just magically appeared with no creator. I believe all of us at one point or another have the same goal in life, to figure out why we are here and what happens when this life is over. All we can do is look at the information that is out there and then decide for ourselves what we believe.

Another reason to stay outta there. They were turned down by just about everyone in port au prince then drove to a very poor and rural town where they got 21 of the 30 or so kids they tried to take across borders illegally. You'd think if they were in the helping kids business they would know what paperwork would be needed to take the children out of there so they could be accounted for. Not just take and disreguard all laws. But people do things that don't make sense all the time esp. When they believe its for the better.

Latest news is many of the childrens mothers and fathers are still living and had no knowledge of their kids leaving.

Hillary Clinton says it is a matter for the Haitian judicial system to decide.

No bail will be given.

The fact that we and others are giving millions is not going to sway the Haitians. They are Pd off !

The money will come from the US Government. We pay (while in the UN it happened all the time) many 3rd World Countries to release American Citizens on basicly two bit charges. These Government Thugs in Haiti are just using these people for $$$$$$ . I spent 2 years in Haiti with the UN and we PAID all the time. Infact, we had to have Military Escorts to go from and to our homes. And YES it cost, even though we were providing FOOD, MED's and Water Treatment, in addition to much more, FREE all over the Country. Everyone has their hands out. Infact the only worst country for this that I've been in was Nigeria.

My question is: Do you really think these people were there to steal children ? And just WHO would give them the paperwork. They HAVE no Working Government. Don't get me wrong, I don't agree with how they went about trying to save some childrren. But, did you know a week before 50 kids arrived in Miami with NO PAPERWORK and all that happened was that they were told US Paperwork had to be filled out. NOTHING MORE but the children being held until parent issues were settled and confirmed by a US AGENCY in Haiti. NO ARREST ! Their Government has looked the other way for years and DID NOTHING about it, so I ask WHY NOW ? It's simple and called $$$$$$$ .

Example: We brought in Food and were not allowed to protect it at the Airport, which allowed thousands (and I mean thousands) of people to rush the stock area and STEAL as much as they could, then sell it on the street. And when we complained to the Government all they said was : "Sorry, we can't do anything about it." Why, because the street people were paying their LOCAL GOV THUG a cut.

They also complained about my personel reporting Fuel being supplyed to Drug Runners as they refueled their planes at the Airport. Again NOTHING DONE !

So, give me a break when some on here spout about Haitian Laws. Their Laws all boil around ONE THING and that's $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ . Why do you think their EX - thrown out Pres (who was thrown out because of International Pressure based on his stealing over a BILLION in Aid $$$$$$ ) wants to come back from South Africa.

I could go on and on but enough is enough. THEY'RE CROOKS AND THUGS with Political Power by Force.
