Hang in there my good friend, The United States of America is much bigger than obama could ever be. Yes we are going through some hard times and I know that there are people hurting out there. With that being said, the GOP is the majority in the house and hopefully they will prevent obama from moving his agenda forward. I can't tell you if we can hold back any of his executive orders however they can be reversed with a new president. Obama pulled the wool over people's eyes in 2008 but not this time. Everyone knows what he is about and proof of that was the Nov 2010 elections. Obama didn't learn his lesson from the last elections and he and the Dems will pay dearly in 2012! The Nov 2010 elections was great but wait until the 2012 elections, obamas days are numbered! That's a FACT!.......det45

Hang in there you all, 2012 will be the year the Tea-Party will finish off most if not all the remaining crooked America hating Politian's. Obama will not be re-elected and the House & Senate will gain conservative majorities. We here at the Tea-Party will not relent nor will we compromise on our U.S constitution driven principles. Both GOP and Dems are on notice that their voting record will be recorded and they will be accounted for. Obama has been awful for our country and we will ensure that he does not serve another term. Sorry to tell you but I cringe everytime I hear American or Patriot from someone in the Tea Party. For some strange reason I think those term covers a very narrow band of people and I am not included in that group.
I think it is funny how the Tea Party constantly attacks Obama and his agenda. From what I can tell he has none. All of the things he has done or tried to do are just regurgitated Republican Ideas.
Any way, I am just searching for a factual, intelligent answer on what is so bad about Obama compared to Bush or Regan. Sorry for the thread jack, we can continue this through PMs.

this isnt as much obama vs bush as much as the USD is losing value against most all currencies. Each administration has their own issues wasting money BUT none have done much to stabilize the dollar. If anything Obama's recent economic actions have hurt the USD but there's nothing to say a republican president wouldnt have done similar stuff.
Until someone can stabilize the dollar we are screwed and things will continue to get more and more expensive. Find the guy/gal that will say "we need to pay our debt, we won't be giving away 18 gazillion dollars to random other countries for the next few years" and I will cast my vote for them. Make the dollar worth more than the paper you wipe your behinds with and you'll see gas prices back down, you'll see consumables back at more "normal" prices and in time, we could actually see *gasp* gas prices starting with $1.xx

But until that happens prices will continue to rise.... To my point earlier, we have been stocking up now to help offset some of the cost in the future... What happens when food cost go up? Those people that didn't plan ahead will be hungry because they can't afford food.... What do they do then? Steal! So, stocking up on food, stocking up on ammo......

Right there with ya Cap! We are finishing the basement and building in some shelves for various things, including stock of things. I have recently started finding some amazing deals via coupons for things, for example I stocked up on paper towels today, got the 9 rolls for $2, saved about $7 per pack
We already have canned food that we canned and great farms for fresh produce up the road. I think its probably wise for folks to actually build a small stash if nothing else, just rotate through it and keep some on hand. I know for us we do that with a variety of dry goods now so that we can more easily budget our shopping trips.
It's not that the food is more expensive, it's that the dollar is worth less...kinda know it sounds like the same thing, until you look at the economics behind it. I get some really interesting economics stuff in a daily email from our bank interesting stuff when you factor in the world economy and how what the US does impacts the rest of the world and visa versa....

I don't even live in America, yet I can see what that jackass is doing to your country. I cannot tell you how alarming it is to us non-American conservatives to see an idiot like him in power.
I don't know how old you are but I'm guessing you didn't grow up during the Cold War. I did, and it's a sad indictment of our school systems that no-one born after 1985 knows anything about that period of history.

Your first mistake is that you think I am an Obama supporter who bashes Republicans and the Tea Party. I am an American who loves, serves and supports his country. I look at facts and all I have ever done is asked "What are the facts behind your statement?". Then I would ask, "What is so differnt about this guy compared to the next guy?". And "Where were you when this guy attacked the constitution?", "When this President did this, wasn't thtat a move towards Socialism?". The response I get is usually a personal attack and answers that have no facts or make no sense.
I don't want to get in personal battle or fight with you, I respect what you do. You seem like you know what you are talking about and I would just like to get some straight factual answers about our current President compared to past ones. I mentioned using pm's so we wouldn't derail this thread with outlandish comments from the far left and right.
Just to let you know, I was in college majoring in Political Science during his first term and served in the USAF during his second term. I know something about the Cold War, I even read SALT and SALT II. Can you back up your comments about the greatest and worst president with some facts on legislation and policy, not just opinions?

Here's a fact for you: during Democrat Presidencies, people who hate America are emboldened by weak foreign policies, so that they will commit acts of terrorism against US-owned/held targets. Have a look at the number of terrorist attacks committed during the Clinton era and look at Clinton's response, i.e. the eff-all that he did about it.
Jimmy Carter was just as bad. When the Embassy in Tehran was taken over, he should have told Khomeini that he was five seconds away from nuking Iran. He didn't, and those people were held hostage for more than a year. And what was it that prompted the release of the hostages? - That's right: Reagan's inauguration. Those guys knew that Reagan wouldn't hesitate to kill them all.
Democrats are almost always weak, ineffectual leaders, with no spine to stand up the world's a-hole population.
Obama is weak and tries to sympathise with people who don't want, need or deserve sympathy. He would try to sympathise with a nest of scorpions, rather than simply destroy them.

My parent have been doing the same for the last year or so...at first I thought they were a bit crazy...now i'm thinking about doing the same.....As far as guns and ammo...well i've got a basement full to protect my property and family. Something has to give! I think we should all be prepared for anything. Being in Iraq has taught me a lot about life and the value of family....May God help us in the future!

I wonder how much longer we are gonna be able to use our USD's to buy oil anyway! The value of the USD is falling to such an extent that even some businesses in Europe dont even accept it anymore.......
