A few questions about modifying sprockets

I'm looking to up my final drive ratio and I was wondering what people would recommend to keep the bike streetable.  Should I go with a stock front sprocket and +3 rear, or go -1 front and +2 rear?

Also, if I keep the front sprocket at stock teething, should the front be replaced anyway when the rear and a new chain are put on?

Edit - ok ok ok, Botard me just found this posting https://www.hayabusa.org/cgi-bin/busa/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=11;t=79582 all about gearing with the final drive chart, so I guess I can read through that post to figure out which gearing to go with, so I guess I'm just looking to find out if I stay with the stock front sprocket at 17T, should I go ahead and change it out for a new one with 17T when the rear and chain are replaced?

all depends how many miles on the front sprocket
and did you clean lube and adjust your chain during those miles

11,000 miles on the current sprockets and chain (all OEM stock)...and of course I didn't do all that stuff...I've been lazy
