OCTOBER

Fall is here, and there's one ride left for the 2019 Ride Season.

Tradition for the last 16 years is last ride of the season is meeting in the Bay Area and riding the Central Coast - makes it half-way between LA & SF. Everyone can easily meet up.

Ride the Santa Cruz Mountains and checking out redwoods again

360 feet tall, nearly 40 stories. The roots are shallow and interlock with nearby redwoods for strength and form a gigantic organism.
Star Wars speeder scenes were filmed in the NorCal redwood groves.

Then out to the Big Sur Coast, and back on my own Hayabusa, Feels good.

The sky and the ocean are a different color every time you go there. Time of year, the weather, always changing.

Every time you come ride Big Sur Coast, you also have to check out Nacimiento Rd

Ride up, Ride down, stunning views of the Big Sur Coast

At the summit, checking out one of the most beautiful bikes we've had on a ride. For a while, really fell in love with these cafe racers with the bullet fairing. That evolved to Street Fighters and I ended up on a Z1000.

In the olden days, motorcycle magazines would shoot their photo shoots on Sana Rosa Creek Rd with these curves - when we had motorcycle magazines that is.

Santa Rosa Creek Rd has long been a favorite coastal backroad.

We then ride a holy grail triad, three short roads of about 10 miles each: Peachy Canyon, Adelaida Rd & Chimney Rock outside Paso Robles. Super fun, and fresh pavement makes it all the more delicious.

Yeeaah, I live right there! I’m also within a days ride of nearly all these roads as Tim is. You guys that aren’t (too) far away, whatever that means :D should try getting out here next year.

Another visit to Parkfield Cafe,

Well kids, that's it, hope you enjoyed this ride through 2019.

The April-October season works out to about 10,000 miles of travel- about 30 cumulative days on the road. And really pleased to be back on the Hayabusa. Now get to spend the winter finishing my mod list and preparing for Season 17 already designed four brand new Pashnit Motorcycle Tours for the 2020 ride season.

You can read more about the evolution of this bike here, setting it up to travel, and creating the Ultimate Sport-Touring Machine here:

Another fantastic season Tim. Parkfield was amazing and I probably should have signed up for a repeat next year. Mosquito Ridge was perfection and the beautiful Central Coast provided camaraderie and relaxation from work when I really needed it. Oh, and thanks for turning me on to the Busa. It’s a keeper for next season

Yes Tim glad you are great now and back in the saddle!
ps... Can i lay dibs on the Tl1000r when ya sell her? :)

Happy Birthday!
