08 Recall-what the problem?

What did suzuki say happened to some of the 08 busas to force a recall? Mine falls in the group that was recalled but I just "blew it off"...Well I just had my bike cut off at highway speed and it was completely dead, I mean nothing worked. I took the rear end off and my bike and it blew the main fuse. I replaced the 30 amp fuse and all is normal now. I don't want this to happen again, so I'm off to the dealership for the recall. I just hope this eliminates the problem!

The ignition wire harness would cause the bike to shut down due to improper placed wire strap. Sounds like you have the problem that was addressed in the recall. Do a search you will see a ton of pictures that explain the issue and what was done during the recall

There's a literal TON of information on this very forum about that subject. Just do the search yo. We went through it in voluminous, excruciating detail.

Well if it was NOT a recall...then why did I get paper work from Suzuki that had "Recall" in big red letters all over it

I had mine checked as soon as I got the notice. No problems found--been running great for the last 11,000 miles!

I suspect it's because yours was among the affected.

Yes, it's not a recall of ALL '08's...just the ones during a certain build period

If yours was checked it will have a small dot next to the serial number.

Are you stretched. Some guys saw a stretched turbo on the side of the road yesterday.
