03 Busa clutch interlock issues?

hi, Im having this issue. Sometimes bike will crank when hitting start button. Sometimes no.. Thought it was the switch at first but today noticed that with clutch only half way itll start. All the way in and no cranky. Can pull it from out to fully in gaged and then when it hits the sweetspot it will crank.??? WTH??? any ideas?? thanks, Mike

Sounds like the clutch safty switch could be the problem.

Factory or aftermarket levers ? I had a damaged ( severely ) and after years of working good I started having issues. At first I could double clutch it and get her going but after another year that ended. I put several layers of good duct tape on the cam portion ( the part that's in contact with the switch ) of the lever and it fixed it.

If aftermarket you might be able to adjust the lever and fix it as well. Settings 1 - 6
