It says "estimate".

Let's see what happens when some magazine reviews etc. get it on a dyno.

Seems odd that they can estimate the HP but the weight, wheelebase, etc., etc., etc., is still a mystery

One of these threads around here has an article saying 192 ponies to the rear.

Maximum Torque: 100 ft-lb (estimate)
Horsepower: 200 hp (estimate)

I think those numbers could be crank and for marketing purposes. Yamaha does the same thing with R1 by claiming 180 rwhp which is pure bull.

Well the ZX-12 put out a real 165hp , why is it so hard to believe the 14 might put out 200hp?

Don't matter...there is only a handfull of people that can properly handle the HP the Busa puts out......not too worried:D

BRING IT ON!!!!

Do you think that it will definitely beat the busa or is there that chance that the busa may still beat it out. That would be amazing but aren't the estimated torque numbers lower than the busa's? Would the busa still out accelerate it possibly? I can't wait to see this bike. I wonder how many will be on the roads.

Read an interesting tidbit inone of the mags, they said using kawasakis traditional piston speeds and based on this engines bore/stroke dimensions, 200hp seems kinda unlikley unless they really vere outside what is the norm for kawasaki, if they do that, durability goes out the window.

Ive seen a ZX-12 bored out to 1350 (edit , actually I think it was just the 1317cc kit seen below) put out 201 hp on the same day and dyno that my piped Busa put out 158.

Everything else on the 12 was stock, cams and all, so bored, a little head head work and a pipe. 201hp.

Stock Busas on that Dyno were doing 153-155 that same day.
