Cool thread idea! Just the other day I ran across a photo of me on my very first motorcycle. I'll have to dig it back out and scan it. Can't wait to see the pics in this thread! :D

Don't have pic just now...in 1972 i rode a 1952 Royal Enfield
500cc thumper..i was 22 years old then..first heavyweight
road bike...PaceM...started with 39cc moped.50cc 100 cc
and now 1300...ah! life is good and been lucky to survive all these years...now 52..and play ride in the dirt with 95 501 Husaberg..busa on dirt fersure..later ;)
 
Here's my first bike. A 1990 Suzuki Katana 600. A fun bike, but a little small for me. Great starter bike!

no pics but i started on a baby blue yamaha 360 cant remember what year probably 78-81. first thing i did was cut off the muffler ran it wide open all the time.
 
I don't have pictures handy, it been too damn long, but here's a quick list.

1. 1972 Honda SL-100 Street/Trail - looked a lot like the first pics.
2. 1972 Yamaha RD-7, two stroke 250cc street (Like the RD400)
3. 1978 Honda Hawk, 400cc, NOT the HondaMatic
4. 1983 Yamaha Virago-920
5. 1999 H-D Heritage Softail Classic, 80 cid
6. 2000 H-D Electra Glide Classic, 95 cid (Big Bore Stg-II Kit)
7. 2001 Yamaha V-Star 1100 Custom (Wifes) - Traded in on the Busa !
8. 2003 Suzuki GSX1300R Hayabusa :D :D
9. 2003 Suzuki Burgman-650 (Wifes new bike)

i have pics but no scanner here is my list:

13 yrs old 1977 KX 500 I busted that tank the first week i couldnt touch ground ( 200 and my sega )

13 yrs old 85 kx 80 great bike ($500)

14 yrs old Kx 125 ( $750) bad ass bike the one i really learend to ride and had it for 4 years

17 yrs old 90 somthing FZR 600cc ($2800) bought it right of the track no lights, mirriors, key starter, etc.
1000 dollars later it was street leagle
ran from 5.0 my first time with that and hit 130 on i 90 in bellevue WA ( yes i got away)

Last year a 2001 monster, ducati 900s brand new

now 2000 busa ($6000) I stole it from some one who didnt know what he had.:D :D
 
on and off diff bikes, never really owned again until 1998

That second bike was a Honda, I actually forget what size..  I remember it was pretty cool but it was short lived (like a lot of my toys)..  I actually had a blown '68 camero convertable that only lasted 1 month before I totalled it in a drag race.

I'm 41.  That prom (1981 - I went to it the year after I graduated) ride was sweet - I think I've owned almost every kind of 60's & 70's muscle car at one time in my life.  Funny thing was my Dad was driving a Mavrick when I was in high school (He did also have a '57 buick ragtop in the garage too so he wasn't a total car guy loss).

I too skipped almost a decade without buying a new bike - I've been wanting a Busa since they came out - only took 4 years to pull the trigger  :tounge:
 
Okay...my first bike was just a few years ago...not the seasoned pilots most of you are...so, from the Harley to the Busa...what a JUMP!  :D
