So say it is your birthday and your wife asks you what you want to do for your birthday? Would it be wrong to say, "I would like a day by myself to tinker in the garage and ride my busa without any interruption whatsoever."? I mean....it is your birthday right? I'm not sure she liked my answer:dunno:

Seems perfectly reasonable to me, but then Im not a girl. I'm thinkin you get that on her birthday when you get her and her friends a Spa day.

when your lady complains about you never spending time with her, just spend the next 20 minutes following her around the house asking her what she is doing every 30 seconds...she will ban you to the garage and lock the door behind you and you can both live happily ever after

Just tell her you want umm, how do I put this... Ummm... Yeah, tell her you want something you know she won't "do" and she'll avoid you for the whole day anyway!

Telling her on your special day that you don't want her around, may not be a good idea when looked at from the other persons perspective  jmo

Kinda like Abe Lincoln's wife asking if the dress makes her backside look big....sometimes you just need to tell them what they want to hear....

Depends on how long you have been married and how secure she is in your feelings for her.
I've been married 18 years and both my Wife and I look forward to days by ourselves. It promotes a healthy marriage.

As long as you give her a day to Celebrate your birthday with her, i dont think you asked for anything terrible like a "Hall Pass"

If you go with all those suggestions you will probably have several weeks by yourself in the garage or doghouse.

Not a bad thing to ask for. But she probably wants to spoil you a little bit too, so maybe a compromise, a few hours alone in the garage and then maybe dinner out with her and whatever else she has planned for your birthday. Have a nice birthday!! :cheerleader:

Leave the part "I would like a day by myself" out and just tell her you would like to tinker in the garage with your toys. Most women don't like to sit out in the garage and mess with oily, greasy motorcycle/ car parts anyway.

I think if you added "and then we'll go out for a nice dinner and drinks" to the end of your idea, you would have seen a big smile ....
