Tucked the Busa away yesterday. I have a rear stand already but was going to pick up a front for this year as well. Is it better to have the suspension under the weight of the bike all winter with one of the stands that the forks sit right on? Or is the triple clamp type alright as well? Then the forks would be extended all winter.

Thanks

Friggin winter.

Mine sits on a stand at the bottom of the forks. I change the oil, lube the chain, fill up the gas tank, put stabil in the tank, put the bike cover on and hook the battery tender up once a week. That done you should be ready to go for spring.

It sits on the springs all summer, so I do in the winter too.

I like stem stands because it does not keep the tension on the fork springs all winter but then again I live in Texas so what is this thing called winter :laugh:

I do the same as my snow blower and my lawn mower "Nothing" and they all start and run just fine.I live in Alaska and that is around 6 months of winter. I do start the bikes once in a while during the long winter just to hear them run and circulate some oil around. Stabil in the gas tank is a waste unless you are storing it for a couple years.

If you want a pin stand, get a Pit Bull and a #6 pin. Had my bike up and down with mine several times now, no problems at all.
