i know that here on the eastside (georgia. ect) have felt a little sharper temperature lately, especially in the morning.
ok, i am still going to ride at least once a week during winter, but now that i have a garage, i can do some things ive been wanting to do.

who else is gonna spend some downtime this winter making changes to their bike?

heres my plans.

have bike painted black
powdercoat wheels black.
powdercoat (anodized silver) rearsets and pass pegs-black.
lower the front another half inch-stiffen front suspension
maybe lower rear a tad, maybe not.
buy a spare seat to mess around with, cut padding out, maybe do a different type of material.
make a bracket for my toggle switches (speed de-restrictor toggle, and my nitrous arming)
super-clean the bike.

maybe a few more little things, other than paint, all these things are do-it-yourself type things that i like doing.

whats everyone elses ideas for winter?

Change the oil and filter with Amsoil Synthetic
New BT016 rear tire
BMC Street air filter
PCIII and a dyno tune
New tank to get rid of the small dent and scrapes from a fallen gas grill (dam gremlins)
Finally install my rear spools and assemble my rear stand
New gear (boots, pants and new jacket)
Not too unrealistic and really quite basic. Maybe even doable?

have john revalve the front forks and new springs, speedo healer, -1 +1 adjustable rear doglegs, fix the fairing that i scrubbed @ deals, buell pegs, braided lines, bigmouth air intakes....whatever else i need:whistle:

1st on the list . Get rid of stock exhaust. Looking at a yosh R77 system.
2nd Do something with those wheels ,it needs some bling. maybe powdercoat them.
3rd get a lowering kit, it sits up too high

I will be powder coating the front and rear sets. Installing my black fairing grills, the LED's, and top triple tree. Lowering the front and rear. Also to top it off I am getting the rear L and R turn signal housings painted to match the orange, along with the sides of front fender, and also painting the scoops black. Going to get braided brake lines for front and clutch, and maybe a new shorter one for the rear.

Maybe if I am not broke by end of winter or my wife doesnt kill me, :please: a brocks full system exhaust?!?!?!?!?

I will get a Tobin seat for the front, and a Corbin with back-rest for the rear for my Wife. I am thinking about having the stock pipes cut unitl I can afford after-market pipes. I would like to talk to someone who has done an HID install. That looks affordable if the install is not too bad. I am also considering Heli-Bars.

I have not done the install, but just ordered a set today from star rotors. The are very affordable and are plug and play, so should be very easy. Good Luck.

its pretty easy and most likely the favorite mod you can do if you ever ride at night, i love mine:thumbsup:

possibly re-build dirtbike engine and get it running.
maybe get new cans for Niouriki (my 08 busa)
maybe get some gold color powder-coating done on various bits and pieces.
It is hard, however since I dont have a garage.

Lucky me...I have just built the big new garage but the payment will take care of my mod. money for a while.

I am just going to ride. :agree:

That is, ride unless there is actual accumulated snow/ice... that's the only time I'll not ride.

Maybe we'll get lucky, and have a cold, dry winter this year....... :please:
