Hey Guys,
I am going to rebuild the suspension on the K9 this winter. I am looking for suggestions for what I should do. I am 255lbs and need to stiffen the bike up. I want to do the front and the rear. I have been searching the internet and have found lots of things. Can you guys help steer me in the right direction. Thanks in advance for your help.

Ohlins or Race Tech can build what you need to suit your weight.
PM Tufbusa, he'll point you in the right direction for suspension.:beerchug:

Your stock suspension works pretty well, even at 255 pounds if it's set up properly. If you are an average street rider and have no intentions of doing more than a couple track days a year I'd hesitate to spend the kind of money it will take to get your suspension up to grade for competitive competition.

Be sure your reasons for upgrading the suspension are properly founded. The reason you should upgrade your suspension is when your skill level reaches the point that the suspension is overwhelmed. Up to that point you'd be wasting your money and well advised to invest your extra cash not in upgrading the bikes hardware to increase performance but upgrading the bikes software (YOU) through skill training. :beerchug:

I'd much rather see you spend your extra cash on improving your skills. However, if you are intent on spending your money on the bike, by all means invest in your suspension.

You know what an aftermarket exhaust and CZ wheels will do for you?

Make your bike look pretty! Nothing more! Improving your skills will make riding a bike much more fun. Ask any advanced rider and they will tell you, "The farther you climb up the skills ladder the more fun riding becomes"!

Aside from looking "pretty" the exhaust will improve the sound and both wheels and exhaust will reduce tge weight.

+1,
If you set the sag it will definately be a BIG improvement over stock.
Even if you're too heavy to get the sag where it should be it will be alot better.:beerchug:

I have adjust my sag for my weight. I have a zip tie on the front fork and check it after the rides. It is always right at the bottom. Meaning I have used all the travel even with five rounds of preload added.
