No,the only time it draws a more power is when you turn it on (the unit powers up)

I even checked the air pressure in my handle bars....and topped the tires with water....just ot be cautious.

If you armour all your lid it should make up for the loss of power. I read that somewhere.

Come on guys. Cut the guy some slack. Accessories do take Hp to turn. Bikes are different than cars but....your car A/C takes away Hp and an alternator that is having to put out more amperage do to a heavy load will take more Hp to turn than one that is only putting out a few amps. He's kinda thinking the load from his light might do this so he's sorta close.
