Way to go Beth. I think the black one looks the best. 750 can be a little more forgiving for a newer rider as well.

That 1000 is a lot of bike for any new rider. Is she opposed to the 600, it is a great bike too? My Wife rides a 600 RR & rides the track as well. 750 is a good bike.

Awesome Sonny, didnt know she wanted her own bike. That is too cool, Juli takes her class at the 1st of next month. The next meet and greet should be great fun! Tell conrats for us!

Get the 1000 because of the MODES A B C you can put in in B mode and cut the horsepower on the bike, and if you ride it use A mode get the best of both worlds .
Jon(Loomis).
Thinking about get a 1000 for my wife we sold her 03 F4I 600 about a year ago so looking to purchase something soon.

I think her hunt is over...... Drum roll please

She's getting the 07 Black GSXR750! Picking her up this weekend...

Thanks all... Yes, thought long and hard about the 1000 as a first street bike. The mode selector and her good judgement are the only things making it possible. Got to agree that black is a smoking hot color choice... I'll keep you posted and of course supply pic's when she does get it.
Congrates!!!!! I'm sorry to say that I believe the 1000 is still to much . I would go with the 750 which is still alot of bike for a new rider , but you know her abilities and i'm sure she understands how bikes can be a little different . Ride safe !

Heading to Oklahoma in a few to pick up the wifes new ride........ Will post pic's when we get back and settled in.

Thats cool as hell,Sonny and tell the house mouse congrats. My wife is preparing to take her MC permit soon, hopefully by the end on this month. The MSF cousres normally get filled by the end of Jan, so we'll see.

Can't wait to see pics.

I can't wait to get back and get my wife through the course so she can get her own too. Let me know how it works for her.

Tell your wife congrats and welcome to the 2-wheel
world as a piolit and not just a passenger. My wife
won't even sit on the bike when it's running. You
sir are a lucky man

Congrats on passing the course.
My wife and I ride together on separate bikes and love it. We have great rides through the Ontario countryside visiting all of the small towns in our area. I prefer to ride with my wife or alone, it keeps the temptation level down to do something stupid on my Busa while under adult supervision. Sandra starting riding a Suzuki 250 Marauder after her MSF course and quickly upgraded to a Honda 750 Super Magna. Pictures links are below. Enjoy!!

get the 1000 and keep her on the SWITCH for a while! That way she or you don't have to purchase a new bike a year from now!

I don't mean to rain on the parade fellas but don't you think a 750 or even a 600 sport bike is a bit too much too soon for a new bike rider?
