I'm assuming also other than being pretty stretching of *street* bikes so long is so scared people avoid the big wheel stands?
No just people who like the look or feel 4-6" place the rear wheel in a more pleasing length matching curve of tail. Looks nice performs poorly just by lowering rear; worse w/ streach added. Might as well buy a 6-10 if willing to go 6"; more versatile. Like how bigger tire matches width of tail down the rabbit hole they go. Now it doesn't handel at all uses about a 5th of tire & wants to stand up in turns buti spent the $ and it looks cool but losses a ton of power to a jack shaft which can break by the way & 2 chains li ke the rapper. They ride slow if at all cause they feel like a poser maybe or simply can't ride or enjoy what they have created. Yes i do know RT came out with a single front sprocket setup.

Beside drag racing the street look of wide & stretched was born in the Florida keys where it is long & straight with stops. The look then caught on in other parts of the country who didn't get, care why builders made them to begin with.

Why do so many people try to put the looooongest swingarm and the wiiiiiidest tire on their Hayabusa, and then leave it sit in a garage or trailer? Could someone please help me understand the joy of that??? :banghead:

My only explanation is the owner decides it's time to quit riding but they still love the bike. This will be the fourth year my Gen2 has sat in a storage unit. The crash I had was kind of traumatic and I just didn't have the motivation to ride.

As for the fat tire and swing arm, that depends on personal taste. Whatever changes I make to my bikes, I plan to keep them that way when I really can't ride anymore and I'm still keeping the bikes just to sit and look at them. That's the plan, anyway.

Hi. I have a stock WB supercharged 03 busa a lot of time the front wheel is off the ground witch makes It a little harder to turn. It is still the best street bike ever with 290 to 360 HP. Even better than my ZX 11 with a 1300cc kit with
NOS 207 to 211 HP and 239 to 247 different dyno's. With a 6 inch over arm I could keep up with all the 1000:s exp for a good track rider like my good friend Tony.

I completely understand! I'm just getting back on after a gnarly crash a few years ago. A lot has changed in a few years.

I have nothing but respect for that. I had someone trying to bash me that I don't know real hp and how a bike needs to be stretched to have it. I understand a track bike. I just don't think stretching is a necessity on the street if you know how to ride.

Kind of like Chris Moore's stock wheelbase turbo setting records.

It humors me, although I understand because I've been guilty of it. How *some* people have to try and be the fastest, most hp, lightest ect. I've got the biggest d__k bike on the street. When in fact they've never been to a track drag, big mph or twistie (even as a spectator),probably never been over 150mph, yet still hang out and make sure everyone knows in there every post, response,or thread that they have a turbo, nos, big cc motor etc. As I'm figuring out there's just not many places left (in my area) to go close to wide open or make big mph passes anymore. That's why I prefer this side of the forum. It's easy to bash stock street bikes when you're a rookie to power adders try and bash some of the Gurus out here who truly use their big hp bikes for what it's intended for. And if I don't like, as I like to say ghetto stretched bikes ,so be it. If any spelling or punctuation is wrong I apologize. Some people have a problem with that also. :-0

There's a reason the Hayabusa is the most modified sport bike on the planet......

Everyone has their own taste and expectations.....leave it completely stock stickers and all, stretch, no stretch, turbo/supercharger or not, paint it pink or black....300 series tire on it...whatever tickles your fantasy......

In the end of the day, it is you who has to ride and look at it......and pay for it.......

I'm liking the superchargers, imo less maintenance. :-)
Fortunately, I don't have the money to do an impulse buy anymore! I'll have time to do my research. Generally speaking, a turbo is going to make the best power where it makes the best power, at high rpm. That doesn't mean that's the case all across the board though and some owners might want the kick in the pants a supercharger offers without revving the engine out. So far, I've decided on going turbo. Lighter, doesn't need a full exhaust, probably makes less heat, probably some restriction of exhaust from the turbine but the supercharger puts a drag on the engine. However, the TTS supercharger sure looks like it's been ironed out extremely well over the last few years.
