Because it's different. Some guys don't like to follow the crowd. Always wished I'd built something like that for my Dad so he could have ridden with me. Limited leg mobility limits your riding options... I know a guy that's been riding a three wheeler like that (not a busa) for quite a few years. No legs whatsoever. He's an animal too. Try keeping up... on or off road.
