Which Com system to use?

OK I am getting ready for a 500 mile ride and it would be nice to use a intercom system for music, cell phone etc. I know Autocom is the way to go but dammm they are expensive. Any cheaper alt?

Three years and thousands of miles; "Chatterbox GMRS-X1"! Everyone in my group has one or two. Hardly ever leave home without them. These aren't as good as the Auto-com set-up, but they don't cost two arms/two legs either..... Range is excellent! Ease of use takes a little time (VOX). PTT is alot easier to master for the new comer. Would recommend to anyone, looking for a low cost dependable set-up.

Who has a good deal on em? The ones i've seen are not much cheaper then the autocom? Any site sponsers carry em?
