What would be your Dream 08

If you were the one calling the shots in the design of the new 08 Hayabusa what improvements would you have incorporated in the bike to make it as revolutionary today as the 1999 model was when it first hit the showroom floors ?

I don't think I would've changed too much externally, mostly inside the bodywork.

- Up-to-date engine...1400-1450cc.  185rwhp 115ft lbs.
- drop weight as much as possible
- updated wheels, brakes, suspension
- adjustable rearsets.

The main things would be to provide from the factory what many people are doing when they first buy the bike, even if it would piss off the manufactures of aftermarket products.  Suzuki did do some of this though like the taller windscreen and lower tank.

I liked so much of the 1st gen, it just needed updated to todays standards in technology.

This! With the one exception I would have done away with the mode selector and given people Radial Master cylinders, and adjustable ergo's. OK that was three things.

I think I would have gone 1397 , some different mirrors (not the gixxer mirror but something a little different ) those have been around forever , adjustable rearsets and triple tree , Lighter , adjustable swingarm (stock to 4 over ) special edition wheels and exhaust , wave rotors (front and back ) and last but certainly not least a different sportier tail section . Those rear turn signals ruin the entire look of the bike . Just bring it home around $15 K and I'm good . And for those who say 15k is too much then just look at how much you have tied up in your rides now then make that statement .

I was actually looking at the mirrors on the new FJR 1300 the other day wondering how they would look on the Busa!
