What was your path to the Busa?

Never rode a bike till 2006 and then....

Bought 2006 BLVD C50T (still have it)
Traded F-150 for Busa a few weeks ago (November 2008)

The busa is amazing but I must say it scared the beejeezus out of me the first time I rode it. :bowdown:

I'm hooked, ruined, and wanting more.

In 2005 I threw the BLVD in a ditch and broke my collar bone. Now I drive actually looking where I'm going. :cheerleader:

That's my story.

:laugh:

Was talkin bout gettin a bike back in high school with some buddies. One kid said, hey...you should get one of those hayabusa's! Not knowing what it was, I went home and googled it. Drooled over the bike ever since. So 5 yrs later, now i'm in college and took out a little extra student loan money and picked me up an 08!!

2005 GS500F-bought it,took MSF class wanted more power
2003 VTR1000-Left over so got a killer deal.Was a nice bike,but riding over Trail Ridge Road sold me on needing a bike w/ fuel injection . Plus it had a pathetically small fuel tank .
2003 Hayabusa-found it w/ only 1k . Got not knocked over 2x in parking lot .
2008 Hayabusa- Dealer wanted $8900 on a "used" bike w/ 300 on the odo.Took the insurance money for the '03 and got THE steal of the year.I was the only serious buyer they had in over a week.

Started riding at the ripe age of 31. God I wished I picked it up eariler, but I'm thinking it would have definately contributed to my early demise.
in 2002 - (1993) Suzuki Savage 650 single (SOLD, woefully under powered, but loved the exhaust note);
in 2003 - (2004) Buell XB12S Lightning (SOLD, great mid range commuter, yummy torque but finding myself going for longer distance jaunts and tours. Poor range, but the V-twin note made sound like a real bike);
in 2008 - (2008) Piaggio MP3 500 scooter (current, loads of fun for 2 up in town rides. The carving 3 wheeler. Dressed for mid ranged up touring with the Mrs. cruising and top speed of 90mph);
as well in 2008 - (2008) Suzuki Hayabusa (current weapon of choice, able to pass 10 cars at a time at stooopid mind blurring speeds. Also dressed for longer distance tours. I wanted something more sport than sport touring..)
in 2009 will need at least a TPX radar detector and possibly a M25 Xtreme lazer jammer for the 'busa...
