what to do

I have a 2008 O/B hayabusa that I have been riding since june of last year. It's my first bike and the only thing I have done to it is put some chrome stubby tips and a corbin seat on it. I have come in to some money (about 600.00)and want to do the most I can with it.
Can you guys give me some suggestions on what to buy first or should I wait and save up more. thanks

You might find a good used pipe on here or ebay. You'll still need a $300 PC :dunno:

Looking like a few appearance mods :whistle: Gen I go HIDs first, then Pazzo shorty levers, then grills. Gen II go with the pipe and if it has an O2 bung you're good.

Thanks for the suggestions I had no idea there was so much stuff you could do. As for what trend I would like to do, I want to do all of it but to start out I want to focus on performance. Since I last posted this I got a power commander and a speedo healer but I dont know what a dyno tune is.thanks
 
Most performance for the $$ would be to change the gearing with a front and rear sprocket change.
 
Performance.

If you want quick performance, and we've only got $600 to work with.

Can start with an Xtre- those are $135.

Gearing has been mentioned. Change out the sprockets, and you'll get instant pulling power off the line. Sprockets are cheap. 35 for front, 60-80 for a rear on depending on brand. Chains are not cheap. And you should buy the best you can afford IMO.

Your stock '08 exhaust weighs 35lbs. Theoretically, if you remove the stock exhaust with aftermarket, you should gain 5 hp (or so I've read here :laugh:) from a mathematics equation perspective. Slip on's are easy way to get half way there right away.

I have the air box mod, pair (pare?) valve removed (basically the emissions crap) pulled off mine.

We argue about air filters, that's rather subjective. I carry K&N, Pipercross & BMC. Pick your medicine.

I have some Iridium plugs in stock. :thumbsup:

Wait a second, don't you have 175 hp on this bike, and you want more performance? God, I love this bike. :laugh:
 
ASV levers, double bubble wind screen, throttlemeisters, buell pegs, cyclepump(Pashnit) and a tire plug kit both these are must haves. Thats about 6 hundee total. Helibars, but thats over the budget.

Gear first though, if ya haven't already got it. Check the closeouts at New Enough for great buys on gear.
