Now that she's all back together looks like i'll let her stay, dont get me wrong everything is for sale for the right amount of cash. I'll go into detail about this past weekend when i get some time

7700 miles is nothing man. I'd keep it.
-The gen 1's look better
-Can easily be upgraded performance wise to better than stock Gen 2
-You can turbo it with less much less hassle than a gen 2 if you want
-Did I mention they look better?
The only thing you'd be missing out on IMO is the Gen 2's fancy pants gauge cluster. Plus you'll never get out of it what you've got in it. Seems like a lose lose situation to me. Not to mention you just got it all back together! Go ride!!!!
