Weird Overheating Issue

So its been a while, but i need the gurus again.

Coming back from working world superbike at Laguna seca last time. It was night, high 50 degree weather. My bike started heating up in stupid Cali traffic. I noticed when I pulled over and shut the bike off, that my fan doesn't work while running. It does work with the key turned on and not running though.

Any thoughts, what should I check?

I would check for broken or rubbed wires. Sounds like it is grounding out on the ignition side.
