Vibrations around 4500 RPM?

I was crazy enough to take the bike out today in 100+ degree temps. Plus leathers = sweaty at work.

While riding, I noticed that after 4500 the bike feels like it's vibrating or getting 'buzzy' is this normal? Is something on the Busa kicking in?

Still getting used to it and want to make sure I don't overlook a potential problem.

Thanks!

You could be feeling the power band. At 5k the power is unlimited. Try clutching it in at speed and be sure the vibration goes away. To make sure it's not tire balance. Ride safe.

Mine got a lot better after a throttle-body sync. Just did not last overly long.

Thanks for the replies and for some peace of mind. I was trying it to see if was speed related - doesn't seem so. I hit about 4500 rpm and it kicks in.

There are a few things that can make it worse, like the windshield buzz (electrical tape), the tank buzz (GPW vibe kit can help) Bar buzz (Heavy bar ends can help) - along with a throttle body sync if needed - but the buzz will always be there... right around 4500... Bessie hits hers at exactly 4500.

I had the same question when I got mine a little over a month ago, I was assured that it was normal. Now I just kind of expect it and can kinda tell what my rpm's are with out looking. Just wait till you take her up to about 8k, I'm working my way up slowly around the tach. The longer you run a gear out, the harder she pulls...my rides seem have a defacto grin of happiness with a hint of terror.

Like LadyHawk said, the beast is trying to get out.

Hit the buzz, check for the fuzz.
That buzz keeps me from putting on to much speed without realizing it.  Speed limits are 65mph tops up here.  Most places it's 55.  Saved me more than once!
