Valentine One never went off

I was surprise to see that I got stopped last week for speeding. I have a Valentine One and never had any problems and never got stopped for speeding. I had to take a detour because the main road was shut down for repair. As I was going down the road a cop stepped out to the road and waves me over and my Valentine never went off. I was told that I was doing 46 in a 30. I notice that the other cop had a hand held radar gun. I have all the updates from Valentine and called them just to make sure and I do.
They told me to send it in and they will check it out. Still wanted to know why I did a Google search and this is what I found.

Does the ticket mention the method used to capture your speed? Usually it will say something like radar or laser. If the detector was powered on and didn't go off he probably didn't use the handgun and estimated your speed.

I did not get a ticket. I was told to slow down and I said thanks and drove off. My radar was on and on the lowest setting. The radar still lets me know when radar is being used but that one time could cost me a lot these days. I think I will send it in to get check out. Cheaper that a ticket..

ahhh he probably didnt get you on rader but just flagged you and estimated your speed. He knew he had nothing if you contested it.

Sometimes they don't work. If you are number one in the officers gun sights, your done. When he sees you rapidly decelerate, your radar detector became the only warning you will receive.

I have the Escort 9500i Top Rated and cost me $495 a year or so ago, I dont allways get the warning either. And of course if I was flying in the tripple didgit zone I wouldnt have enough time to slow down anyway.

About a month ago ( I was in my truck going under the speed limit ) when the CHP who usually use ka band, had a gun pointed in heavy I-80 traffic, he was outside of his vehicle... My escort never made a sound... ???

The handheld ones they use here in MD are mostly Laser.

in TX a visuel guesstimation will stand in court, and many other states also.
