This topic actually came up last week when my gf and I were out on the busa. She called me a snob after I did not wave to a "rider" on a Can-Am Spyder. My response was that I don't wave to tricycles or scooters. Maybe I should but I just don't. Oh yeah, I don't wave to ATV's on the shoulder of the road either.

I wave when I see other riders unless its heavy traffic.I agree, dont wave to 3 wheelers and scooters but did have a scooter rider wave at me once.Kinda funny but i waved back.

The only time I don't wave is at a bike week.

Waving at a bike week is like this:

My left hand is constantly in the air, I wave to them all even the ignorant ones that don't wave back, anything on 2 wheels I wave, most of us started off on small bikes or scooters, whenever a big bike went by and the rider waved I loved it as a boy, gave me a sense of belonging to a group, big reason why I carried on riding and still do

I only wave to people if they wave to me now. I think I went about 3 weeks waving to everybody and nobody waved back. So I just gave up. Its mostly the cruisers around here that might vibrate off their bike if they let go :) or maybe they are jealous.

I wave to everyone!
Scooters, quads, cruisers, enduring, can am, they are all brave enough to get out of the cage and get the wind in there face....I can relate.

The list was fantastic. Thanks for the laugh.

As for waving I wave to almost everyone. And it's a Good thing to do if you can safely. (dragging a knee and waving maybe not so good). It let's everyone looking at you know there is another cycle around. Anything to raise a cagers awareness. Also is good for the riding brotherhood.
