Tire changing/balancing options

Are you using lots of lube? A warm tire will be easier to work with too.


Tires kind of cool on the last couple of changes...air around 60 degrees the other night.....cold blast. Used some of the no mar lube..but maybe not enough.

Thanks for all the tips, I think I'll take the plunge. Stay old school, make the balancer & use lead weights. Leaning toward the no-mar built stand, but will look at the Harbor freight unit that was mentioned repeatedly. :thumbsup:

I did mine without a changer and I don't mind sayin, The 190 was a bad boy to get off the rim. The new tire went on easy but I had a time getting the old tire off on the backside.
