Time For New Tires

I’m going Michelin Power 6’s when the time comes.
I have Michelin Road 6’s on the GT which suit my usage of that bike, and they are great. But the Busa doesn’t get ridden in the same weather as the GT.
Already on 2nd set of power 6, went from Pirelli Diablo to michelin as pirrelies do not last more than 7k km for me as I do twisties and sometimes track days.
I even run 200/55 at the rear.

Obviously the S22. s23's are going to be better on the track...............But if you ONLY ride on the road, the T33's should be more than enough.
No proper winters here, every ride is warm and dry. I’m in the middle of endless fun bike roads. Rarely do I see a cop.

I’ve used plenty of Angels, Roads etc, but I prefer more sporty tyres.
I’m not a track day demon or a MotoGP wanna-be, but I do like a bit of sporty riding, fun corners and knowing I have a higher level of grip when needed.

For me the S22’s / 23’s are an ideal compromise.

I'm not sure anyone needs slicks for street tires especially if you don't worry much about hard cornering. They look friggin bad o_O . Get a 190/55 or a 200/60 and its more eliptical profile will wear down to a typical circular profile instead of squaring off. The soft composition wont last long but the tire looks cool if you want to try it. Buy slicks for cold track and no tire warmers, they will be fine for the street. Of course, if you're looking for longevity, you're going to have to sacrifice a bit in the cool dept.

Sounding like an old man lately, these things are getting expensive.

Back in my day, $300 for a set of tires was the norm. That seems a distant memory.

Oh, and I remember when this part of town was all fields. :p

I agree, but let's also see how far tire technology has come in 20 years too.....................we now have 2-3 different compounds in one tire, meaning we can have our cake at the track, and drive home too.

Most are NOT replacing tires every season, or multiple times a season anymore................it's nice being able to get 15-20,000km out of a set of tires.
