Tial wastegate 38mm

I finished installing the VR1 turbo back and I noticed that exhaust air was also coming from the wastegate pipe !
I decided to open the wastegate again to check and I noticed that if I look down the wastegate pipe towards the the wastegate piston I can see light thru it !! There is a small gap and I guess that’s why the exhaust air is flowing thru it. I did try to press the spring/piston to make sure it is not jammed and to make it sit properly but still the gap is there .

I feel the wastegate has a problem as the gate (piston) should be completely closed and open only when there is 6 psi of boost (in my case) this is my understanding I hope I am correct .

yep, you need the aluminum valve seat that goes in the flange...I need one to so let me know where you find one

Damn thay are proud of that valve seat...$40 for that thing? I am going to keep looking
