Thread pitch

I have sucessfully striped and snapped a piece of the gas cap mount bolt upon
removal. I'm looking for the thread pitch of the bolt so I can tap it.
Any help would be appreciated. I would prefer not to run around town if at all possible.

FYI, if your planning on cleaning in there be removing the cap...don't.

Took mine off to paint it black... a few of the bolts were TIGHT!!

M6X1 = 6mm with 1mm pitch
