The Mysteries Of Previous Owners

Having pondered the bottom of my drivers seat for weeks now, I'm still unable to fathom what this hole in the bottom of the seat could have been for. I inherited this little mystery from the previous owner along with others. So.... I'm posting a photo of my drivers seat and perhaps one of you gents on the board could enlighten me as to what purpose this mysterious hole could have served..???

I reckon he must have had something under the seat that was hitting the base of the seat hence the trimming

there is a small "box" in the plastic that would hit if the previous owner had an oversized battery installed...i am currently running a Yamaha battery for more power and it just barely fits

There should of been a foam block/pad there to help secure the battery.

I bet there were connectors, flash module, any electronic that was sitting on top of the battery to allow the seat to sit flush... that hole looks absolutely cut out..
