Here's the first vid from this weekend.

It's a very SHORT session on Sunday Morning in A (right as it started raining). There had been a crash, and when we lined up to go back out, I'm following Jay, and up behind me comes our friend John on a 750. Well, I don't know who shoved a rocket up John's arse, but he came out like a man on fire. Notice the raindrops on the windscreen, I'm thinking maybe it's time to be a little cautious, but when he passed me, it was "oh H_ELL no" moment :)

This is my first experience with two GoPro's, synced.

And here is the session I followed Motochris (who by the way, hasn't posted this week?) in Intermediate on Saturday:

Good video Diverman! You could make a business out of video for track riders.

My last track day of the season was yesterday in Portland, Oregon. I felt a bit sad that the season was over for us poor blokes who live in the rain forest. Was a great season for me. Forty some odd track events, six sets of EBC GP Pads, two sets of knee sliders, thousands of laps around a multitude of tracks, a truck load of dunlops and no getoffs. A grand season it was.

I also made a number of new friends.

I'm sure I'll reminisce about the track season of 2012 when I'm in the old folks home chasing the ladies in my walker. :beerchug:

And here is about 5:00 of Jay following me in I, just dying to put a pass on me :)

And her is the one session that Charlie came out to ride with me and Jay:

So... what are you guys doing for the camera tethers?

I just need a place to mount one up where it can be tethered...

Send me a picture of your camera mount setup and I'll get one on order for mine.

Mounts: In the Rear, I'm just using a regular GoPro Sticky mount. Teathered with a string (or in my case, a piece of nylon tape) tied in under the seat.

In the Front, I'm using a RAM ball mount, a RAM short arm, and a redneck engineered RAM plate that I made myself (but RAM has now come out with it's on Ball mount for the GoPro Camera):

GoPro Ball:

On this page includes links for the appropriate Short, Medium or Long Arm (I'm currently using the Short Arm, but also have the long army for my Busa).

For the Stem Mount:

RAM Motorcycle Fork Stem Base with 1" Ball

Once you get the part numbers, you may be able to find these items cheaper on Amazon or somewhere other than RAM's homepage.

For a front teather, I made one out of safety wire and clip it to the brake fluid reservoir - I'm not that happy with that arrangement; if it were to come off I'd hate for it to fall into the front steering and potentially lock up the front at 120MPH...So I'm looking at other options. But, let's face it: It's not coming out under normal riding conditions it's only there to keep it with the bike in the event of a crash...or if sticky mounts came unglued...

Got the parts on order and I already had a short arm for my GPS on the Busa.

So....I'll be running video of everybody next time out!

Thanks for the info, Keith.

Good deal.

So what's the reason for not allowing helmet cams? I could definitely find a way to tether that.

And is there a standard for the material used to make a tether? I've been thinking some good fishing line might be pretty convenient.
