Not going to ask the redundant "which one is best?" question but instead I'll ask if anyone here has had any experience with these here;

I don't have any experience with those, but I do really like the Joe Rocket Manta XL tank bag. It is well designed, and the overall shape fits the tank really well. Not only does it fit well, the contour allows a half-assed tuck position; you just can't do a full tuck, but you can crouch down pretty low.

I can take a pic of it mounted on the bike over the weekend, if you want. I like the way the wings fit on the tank. Once it's on it is not going anywhere, unless you physically remove it.

Nice bag but what I need it for it's missing a map pouch...

No experience with any of those...I'm partial to my Bagster tank protector and bag!

There's a map pocket on the tank bag - that's VaBusa's Son's Flat Stanley in there...

Oh - and the bag also has a strap so it can be used as a backpack

I'm very partial to my Rapid Transit bag.....review link

I've had it nearly the entire life of the bike and it has turned out to be very resilient. I have a Cortech tail bag with a failed zipper shortly after purchase.

I have the Cortech. Awesome!!!, keeps its shape, stays put, absolutely no scratching and turns into a backpack. Love it wouldn't buy anything else.

My tank bag is made by Icon..Its also a back pack and has a bottom fold out for holding your helmet, it has a clear map section on the top and is a great bag...

I had a T-Bag Luggage bag on my V-Rod and they are great products, hold up really well and are very durable...Cannot speak for their tank bag...but the company itself seems sound...

I recently ordered a bagster tank bag from rideaddict.com. They hid the ninety day delivery time (and the "your order cannot be cancelled") in their shipping policy, instead of on the product description page and I overlooked it, not expecting to find anything of importance in their shipping/return policy.

I'll never do business with them again, and I suspect I'll have a tankbag for sale once it arrives in another two months, as I can't wait that long for bagster to make a bag I needed last week.

Ridiculous.

I've owned two tank bags in my life in over thirty years of riding.

First was an Eclipse my folks bought for me in the early eighties...still have it, good bag.

But...tank bags do f*ck up your paint. No exceptions, eventually your paint gets damaged.

I now use a Luggage Locker tank bag which is mounted to a ring on the gas cap. Does not touch paint. Not as big as the Eclipse, and the ring mounted to the gas cap ring looks ugly when the bag isn't mounted, but it serves my purpose and the paint remains immaculate.

I would beg to argue that statement..

2 full seasons and 26,000 miles... nary a rub, scratch or blemish on the tank... if you buy the best? you can relax....

Rapid Transit also has a "Stack LT", it's just like the Recon 19 but w/ an additional zipper attached bottom bag. I will probably get one of those once I return home. Planning on a trip from FL to KS at the end of May. :D

Rapid Transit The Stack LT Magnetic Tank Bag :: New Enough Motorcycle Hard Parts

This is the bag I have. Just a heads up on this bag, it's not as roomy as I thought it was going to be, and the zippered bottom bag Might be big enough to squeeze a pair a jeans and a t-shirt in.

RT offers a system called The Stack which does offer more storage, but it isn't as rounded, and when stacked, you can see the gauges, cuz it's pretty high.

The LT is a nice bag, but you won't get more than a day's worth of clothes in it.

For whatever reason, I could just never get the hang of riding with a tank bag. Tried them, just didn't work for me. I have a little tail bag I strap on the back if I need to take a lunch.
