YUP Stupid is as stupid does. What a waste of money over someone deciding what way their want to lead their company. I like my Harley, its mine. It was built before all the woke poop and honestly I wouldn't care either way. MANY in the Harley world will be selling off their bikes for pennies on the dollar. More parts for cheaper for me. The new CEO is wanting Harley to embrace the European way of culture and thinking. My thought are that he wont be CEO very long, but time will tell. From what I have read, ( its on the internet so it must be true right????? lol ) he is making male, white employees go to a acceptance, re education course if they want to stay employed their. Truth? Who knows, but I will be asking a buddy of mine who works at HD about it. That just screams lawsuit.

Probably a stolen bike.....

Kind of shows you the state of someone's mind who would do this....

Notice how any anti-NAZI person didn't all burn their VWs, BMWs, Mercedes or Porsches........all were products or endorsed by that regime.....

Look at all the idiots that blew up Bud Light beer.....and are probably now all drinking it again.....

Perhaps freedom of speech is entering the Fortune 500 v corporate world?

Sure wasn’t that way during my days pre 2016. Protect the bottom line for the shareholders. Even swimming upstream in one’s personal life could get you fired.

This could be a tough nut to crack, if they fire him, the world could yell discrimination towards Harley.

Boy, the times we live in these days….

Looks like the front tire was still holding air before they put the bike up on the barrel...and wth was the guy on the right with the shotgun supposed to be hitting?
It did remind me of Rambo too...at least 10% of those rounds hit their target.
lmao
And I wonder if the money from the views will cover the cost of the ammo?

Have you seen this idiot?

I guess in today's world ANYTHING for the 'views'.In INDIA people are buying high end sportsbike just to show off and get views.Imagine buying a new bmw s1000 rr,zx-10r or busa and then getting it wraped in some funky colours, abusing it,ridding them without doing proper service and maintenance and then selling it.For some youtubers these machines have become just an 'OBJECT' with no passion or pride of owning them or riding them.

I can't belive they actually hit it with the cannon...which didn't seem to do anything but knock it over.

I will say that I do agree with the message though.
Only the white men at HD will be made to do woke training.
Pushing HD to all electric.
The brand was in trouble as it was, and now this.
I'm not a HD fan, but that ceo doesn't align with the brand at all, and it looks like he has a good shot at destroying the company.
Everywhere else in the world HD is American nostalgia, but here, their main customer base are die-hard classic HD guys and hardcore bikers, not woke lefties.
But, if you're rich and pissed off, and wanf to destroy a couple bikes in protest, have at it.
Ultimately money talks, so if the shareholders start losing more money, and likely so, that ceo is on his way out.

I don't know that taking a belt fed gun or a cannon to a bike will garner anyone's attention at HD......I suppose they are just trying to get views on line....

I remember years ago an old timer friend of my brothers' mentioned that he didn't feel HD was interested in the old time, long term riders as much as the new wave of "yuppies" who were image buying........he said he would go in a little greasy from working on his bike in search of a part and the people behind the counter would look at him like he was a bug or something....and the people in the showroom all looked like they came out of an HD catalogue..

He was still brand loyal though....

He will do serious financial damage before he is removed. The "Brand" will not fold under completely and I feel that will happen if he stays. They are going to be hard pressed to climb up from this. I like the comfort and Nostalgia the HD has but my next bike might be a BMW....who knows

Looking at the video, I don't find it stupid, neither do I find it smart. I just find it funny.

I see the humor in it, find it entertaining and if someone tries to get a lot of Youtube hits, this one probably did it. Hey, if he can afford to shoot a Harley to pieces and attract a lot of attention, that is his prerogative.

I think this whole thing with Harley is being blown out of proportion though. Companies however have a fiduciary duty towards their shareholders and they should remain totally neutral, not get into political issues. Focus should be purely customers and business.

My personal view about DEI initiatives is that it is racially wrong. We should not refer to humans by their color, their sexual inclination, their ancestry, their religion or any of those matters. If we simply erase that and accept humans as fellow humans, equal based on the facts that they are human, nothing else, DEI would not exist.

Harley has denounced their DEI initiative, will probably take a hit, but this has been going on since 2020 now.

HD has tried several flops in recent years, like smaller cc bikes, and the Livewire.
Their sales have been declining like other motorcycle manufacturers have.
To me, and I think alot of people, their solution is simple.
Keep a classic section, several traditional models that define the brand.
Put more effort into the Pan-America, improve it's shortcoming and correct it's electrical problems.
Create a couple of models that really appeal to the adventure sport crowd, and make it something competitive that those guys want to ride.
Finally make a true sportbike!
Sportbike sales are still there for those of us that want to ride twisties or do trackdays...but roll racing is supporting the market.
It's everywhere, and has been for several years. Big money and big cities especially.
People want to ride fast, and race against other bikes, cars, and especially supercars.
Captialize on that market.
There are alot patriotic Americans that would proudly ride a Quality adventure sport or sportbike from HD, and the classic guys could still get what they wanted.
If HD were to pick back up Buell, for not only nationwide sales, but mainly the countless service departments that Buell will really need to survive, they would have a winning combination, as those new Buells look awesome, and remember, the old Buells took quite a few podiums in Superbike, so the man knows what he's doing.
And, be HD, a patriotic American brand, sell motorcycles, put men and woman of all races in your ads, to show that they are for everyone...and leave it at that, no politics, no bs...just motorcycles with something for everyone.
Yeah...good luck with that happening.

Have you owned one?

I had one and the fun part of it was the Harley chapter. For those who enjoy riding with others, it was great. Lots of friends, activities, well organized rides with group leaders and a sweep rider, lunch trips, dinner trips, week-end trips and get togethers.

Problem is I had a hard time not falling asleep behind the bars, so I ended up selling it. My Busa is not welcome there, and even though it will probably be OK, I would feel out of place.

I believe the social side with all the accessories, clothing and organization is what drives the brand and generates the sales though. It is like a cult hobby for these folks.

I agree that it is definately a cult hobby for most of the riders, they ride to say they have one, and want to be in that clique.
Then there is also a huge amount of large gangs/aka organizations that ride them exclusively.
There are a small amount of riders that I would class like the Sarge here.
He found something comfortable that he likes for several reasons, and is building it into a good overall handling and performing ride, that gives him what he wants in a motorcycle.
Me? I have never owned one...but have ridden many over many years, from Sportsters, to old Shovel heads, more modern Fatboys, baggers, and full dressers...and none of them can deliver the handling or overall performance that I want in a motorcycle.
I also prefer my basic maintenance to be just that...basic...not the high maintenance that comes with most all HD's.
My ex-brother-in-law is actually the service writer at the local HD store, about 25 miles away.
You tell him what's wrong, and writes it up an relays it to the techs.
He has been on at me to come ride the Pan-America, which doesn't really appeal to me, but, I may get a wild hair and stop in and see him at some point.
HD's aren't my thing...but I do like to wheelie them for their owners who say that it can't be done, lol

If you didn't loose a part while riding, you weren't on a Harley...........LOL
I hit a small deer on mine, hit the crankcase, flipped over and took off the back indicator light. Kept the bike up. So yeah things seem to fall off, but at least in only cost me $60 for the parts to fix its. Deer dead, so we have to admit, a Harley is at least good for something.
