Reagan was a fukwad. My father worked for one of the largest US Steel Producers that went under during the Reagan administration. And now we use all this worthless Chinese steel.

Alot of good people lost jobs during that time the same way they are right now, but I guess that shid doesn't matter.

Go figure.

I have a feeling this Doug Patton feller has a thing against Islam and its people...Just looked him up and read some of his stuff.. Not all that impressive IMO. Especially when he's telling me and everyone who reads his articles that the religion I practice is not that of peace... But whatever I'm sure this will get quoted with a "I don't Care" anyways

I used to let stuff like this get to me but, well, I guess I just don't care anymore

Bullcrap, if it weren't for presidential policies under the likes of Reagan we wouldn't have an Iraq, nor a Taliban to deal with. We created the hate, we sowed the seeds of evil. We started this mess we are in. We provided Osama Bin Laden the training and weapons to fend off "communism"... Then like a bad TV drama, our own little creation turns on us and utilizes years of CIA training to stay off grid and out of sight. This is policy under Reagan. Iraq, again the result of failed American politics, we repeatedly provided weapons and money to Sadam regardless of his inhumanity.

SO, Beat the drum for a "War on Terror"? Hardley, do some research first, we are only there in a crappy poorly planned attempt to fix our own mistakes. Support the troops? Absolutely, I've been there out in that damn desert and I know just how hostile the AOR is and how "loved" we are.

One nation under "god" is a big part of why there is so much murder, war, and death in the world, this isn't hyperbole, religion is used to fuel the hate, and has for thousands of years...

Religions are a farce... We should be and WOULD BE far more evolved as humans if we could simply let the fairy tales live on as fairy tales and start thinking and doing for ourselves... Plain and simple...

Or something like that...

We can get all romantic about our past leaders and fairy tales if you like, but it doesn't change the reality of our current situation...

Well, you are right about one thing, "I DON'T CARE!!!!!!!!!!"

As for Patterson having something against the people of the Islamic faith; I wouldn't so sure about that. There is a difference in having a problem with a belief verses having a problem with those that may practice the belief.

By the way, this thread isn't about the Muslim faith practicing peace (which it in no way whatsoever does). It's about PATRIOTISM. A love for the United States of America. A love for a Country that was attacked by a Muslim fundamentalist that is hell bent on destroying the Western World in the name of Allah. Personally, I thing Osama can take his ji-had and stuff it.

Yeah, I get pissed when I read crap such as what is quoted. Yes, I have an issue with saying one thing and doing another. Yes, I have a major complaint with the Muslim faith.

NO, I don't have a problem with Muslims in general. In fact, I know many, and several are close friends. I don't have a problem with what you believe, just what you practice. It's comparble to homosexuality to me. I can't stand the gay lifestyle, but I have no problem with gay people. In fact, the guy that cuts my hair is gay, we get along fine.

You could be completely different, I don't know. I'm not judging you. You can't be a bad person, you do ride a Hayabusa.

OK, my rant is over for the moment.

Revlis, I could debate with you on this one all day long. I'm not though. I'm tired.

Oh, I won't disagree about the political statements. You are right for the most part. Religiously however, I have a serious disagreement. I'll save it for later.

Personally, you have the same drive and passion as I do when it comes to a debate. I'm just too tired to play right now.

The attitude of "I don't care" is plain ignorant. Revlis again.. You beat me to it.
If all of the people in initial agreement to this type of thinking were to care about the DOMESTICALLY CULTIVATED CAUSES for all of the terrorist anti-USA type of activity, we wouldn't be in this mess.
It is our foreign policy and covert activities taken in other sovereign countries that has led to some fuggin pissed off guy painting "Down with the USA" in Tehran.
A bunch of ignorant people is all "I don't care" results in. "I don't care" causes TERRORISM. Just because their book isn't the "holy bible" doesn't make it a piece of sh!t. Just because they have been shown a different faith doesn't make them less than "all these fine Americans under GOD"!

Presidents/politicians are merely puppets for who is really running this country. Who runs it?, you ask. International Banks. They finance everything this country does. They own US. Do some research, find out where the $$ for the economic stimulus checks came from. and BTW, we will be paying interest on that loan. Now, who owns or is invested in these banks...the middle East, China, and whoever else. Hell, I heard even the Rockefellers are major roll-players.

There are 2 things I think about when religion and politics come up: 1."Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country"(J.F.K). 2."Fear the government that fears your guns."(a bumper sticker).

At least people of religion believe in something. Otherwise, they would fall for anything.

On the point of "Religion causes war", I have a different outlook. Humans cause war. Humans naturally gravitate toward greed and envy. Part of it is survival instinct. The rest of it is just ingorance. As long as there are humans, there will be war. If we ever mature as a species it will only be after we discover that we are not the only intellegent life forms in the universe.

The "I don't care" attitude is quickly pushing the USA into a Socialist corner. None of the current big political parties have the nation in thier hearts. They have greed. They want whatever they can get out of it. If they say anything different, they're lying to us! They will gain wealth while most of us go broke. "I don't care" is how we ended up a nation with several Trillion in consumer debt. "I don't care" is how we lost most of the morals that most of the population used to exihibit. "I don't care" is the whole reason we have the current mess!

I know several people that practice many different religions, and a few that don't practice any religions. I care enough to let them practice what they believe, and they care enough to do the same for me. I don't get wound up when someone attacks my beliefs. I know where I stand. If someone is offended by others talking about their beliefs they need to do some searching because they have too many unaswered questions about those beliefs.

You can NOT CARE and live with the results. Or, you CAN CARE, take a step out of your Entitlement empowered buble, and make a difference in your little part of the world. Your choice.

If you think things are bad now, keep on not caring and see where we end up.

With that being said, why is it the Muslim Extremists are slowing chewing away at this country and everything it stands for? They wont be happy til everone practices their faith. Meanwhile, we are losing our Constitutional Rights every day. THESE ARE THE THINGS TO CARE ABOUT. but what is being done about it?...not a damn thing. I guess nobody cares.

I personally think it mainly has to do with the conflict between the Palestinians and the Israelis with U.S also by their side. Thats where a lot of the hate towards America comes from IMO. The hate towards America from these guys will never go away as long as they support Israel. I don't think its so much as a religious thing where they are trying to convert everyone although a lot of people think that way for some reason..

The only thing I will add to all of this is the next time you see one of our service people in uniform stop and shake their hand or when you pass one of the many military cemeteries stop for a moment of silence on their behalf. THEY are the ones who have given and THE ones that continue to give all of us the right express these opinions!
