Stator Cover

Recently changed out my orginal stator cover for the chrome one. thing is, now i'm hearing all kinds of noises coming from that housing.(almost like a circling rubbing, grinding noise)

...any ideas on what i could have done wrong?

Did you torque it down and use lock tight?

I'd take it off and look for visual wear.

remove and check for rub marks.

okay..i'll take it back down and reinspect. btw what's "lock tight" ??
if it shows rubbing marks/ grooves then what?

operator error big time

none of the insert bolts were tightened...guess i got too excited about the bling-bling...good and tight now though!!!!

Check the oil level dude; just in case. If you were serious loctite is a name brand for good shid that keeps them bolts secure. Won't back out. If you use it follow the directions and use it sparingly.

Make sure you use the medium strength....

yeah....use the blue...not the red locktite...

im taking mine in to the shop and gonna pay them 50 bux to replace it, gasket is included
