For $8K, personnally I'd go new. Not that much more. My suggestion is to call, call, call, and find a new left over '05. There's bound to be some out there.

Believe me, I have been looking and trying but have not found a good match!

You must be pyschic:  I have decided to get this bike.  Peace of mind is priceless:D   Too bad I will not be able to ride the bike soon because I am still on a ship in Hawaii until NOV (but I will be in San Diego this APR...so I will enjoy it as much as I can).

Thanks again for all that chimed in.  Will be taking it very slow on mods:  probably sliders for starters (frame & swingarm).  My other rides have my pockets pretty drained for now:

Yup, forgot to mention that I have already read about the kick stand mod (saved to favorites) and will GIT R DONE ASAP when I see the bike for the first time this coming APRIL. Thanks for the reminder!
