Jumps from perfectly good Airplanes

Sorry I missed you guys, but my wife and I were helping set 4 new Tennessee State Skydiving Records (really, set two and then later bested them both):

- 1-point 31 way
- 2-point 31 way (sequential)(two formations on the same jump)
- 1-point 34 way
- 2-point 34 way

Tried for a third point, but everybody tried too hard and it disentegrated. Pics and video below

Here are the record pics for the 34-way, first and second points (I am at 12:00 in the white suit and black rig with blue trim just outside the base; my wife is at 6:00 on the far outside in the white helmet and blue/teal gear). And the obligatory group pic that will show up in June's Parachutist Magazine :)

We had two airplanes flying tight formation. Lead and Base plane was a Twin Otter; Trail was a Super Caravan. I was outside floater and Plane Captain of the trail plane. That's me on the step looking at the photographer at exit altitude (15K) :)

Now that you saw the still pics, here are some videos..these prove there was a lot more to it than just the money shot...some of these dives could have been a lot cleaner....

This is the 1st record, a 1 point 31-way set on 1st attempt. I'm the guy in white making the big move across the bottom moving left to 9:00 to the base at the 00:45 mark...

Just so amazing!!! Congrats on being a part of breaking the record!!

This is the 2-point 31-way. Again, I'm in white making the big move to orbit to the 12:00 dock. This was my slot the entire weekend. I had it easy, just GET THERE quick, dock cleanly, and help maintain the fall rate...

Then we added three more jumpers, and tried again. Here's the 1 point 34-way now the TN record:

And lastly, the 2-point 34-way. What's really funny is the jumper that took out the DROP ZONE OWNER at the 40-second mark right as he closes on the base to dock. Still, they both got back and we barely completed the 2nd grip as we go into the humid layer and the camera dude's lens fogs up. This is at about 4500 feet which was pretty LOW by big-way standards...

Most important event of the weekend: For the FIRST TIME, our daughter displayed an interest in learning more about skydiving than just watching. She wanted to learn how to PACK (which, when she learns to do it, means I get a REST and SHE can make $$$ packing)...She also filled in during a dirt dive while another jumper was getting ready.

Lastly, a happy family pic. It was a good weekend

Hey, I don't know where you found that good lookin woman but she is way too fine to be hangin with a scoundrel like you!

I'm impressed with those photos. I don't know anything about sky diving other than women are required to wear panty hose (Keeps them from whistling on the way down) during any free fall. However, I do know creating a formation like that is not an easy task.

Congrats on your accomplishment divrMan!

Now that I have the originals, here are a couple more from the trail plane's perspective of the exit. I have already gone by the camera and am just out of the frame...
