Interesting, but yeah last Friday after 3 years of a55 busting I get 4-hours notice. Yup, pretty much as if I had been stealing money or something myself and the Marketing Director get 4 hours notice. Pretty crappy and clown shoes, but whatever. I was pretty much realizing that the cheese was stinky anyway and I am glad to be rid of the Amateur hour BS. It's kinda messed up, sitting there powerless while folks in charge lead a multi million dollar company to ruin outta of ego or ignorance. :banghead:

Anyhoo! I've been out riding, enjoying myself and deciding whether I want to go back to work for another company (real company this time), Start my own design firm, or simply cook, clean and do laundry. :thumbsup:

I dunno, might just become the wife's :cheerleader: and actually have a clean home for a change, cook dinners, fix/build stuff around the house... We'll see.

But anyhoo, that's what I did this week. OH OH and I met up with SCAR, Jefferycarryman, busawidow, and wingding... That was pretty cool.


I got a nice shot of Scars lilly white ass here somewhere... :whistle:

One more thing, anyone want my Busa and my BMW??? Both gently used, and low mileage!

Sorry to hear about this bro. One thing leads to another and well, you know the rest. I know your not selling either the bus or the beemer, I hope not anyway. Good luck on being the wifes :cheerleader:, I asked mine about being the house boy toy and she thought it better I work. Oh well.

time and do some riding and anything else that makes you happy. When
you are ready you will figure out what the next thing to do thats best for

i've been laid off twice within 3 years so i can empathize with you. the hardest part for me was avoiding depression. no b.s. it will get better for you and all things happen for a reason. focus on what's ahead for you and your family.

The job market is so terribble right now that if I wasnt working for the government I would be paranoid as heck.

And even working for the government job security isnt what it used to be. but it still is alot better than working in the civilian sector.

On another note however dont take the whole 4 hour notice thing too personal. I mean it totally sucks you got laid off. but as far as notices go companies are known to have security meet employees at the door, escort them to their office and allow them to pack up a few boxes then escort them out.

From an IT postition we are normally the first ones to be notifed so we can shut accounts off before the user is laid off.


I was working for an IT company and I went in and gave them a two week notice.

5 minutes after I gave them my two week notice they escorted me off the premices and told me two weeks wasnt neccesary.



Did they give any explanation?
 
Companies suck don't they? I feel your disconnect having been there for a first time myself couple years back. My private revenge was learning the guy that let me go was heavily demoted shortly there after, AND they added FOUR MORE staff after my abscence to catch up on the things I was telling them we needed 3 more guys for.

What every happened to: "PEOPLE are our biggest asset" statements by business?

Sounds like a perfect time for you to think about your position and plan for the birght tomorrow. Lots of cool options for you. Sounds like your focus is on the right things
 
I agree with what most have said. This may be the best kick in the pants to make your own moves and finally do what you have really wanted to do.
As far as the BMW... How much do you want for it?

Rev, now is a great time to test drive the "stay-at-home" deal and take care of things at home while the wife works. I know she's got a great job, she'd love coming home to a warm dinner on the table, everything is already done for her...less stress for her, less stress for you :D

I am sorry to hear how you were treated though; that just stinks...never see it coming then *BAM* you're entire world just changed...

Hang in there and did you say something about taking shots of Scar's rear?! Ummm, the Busa I'm sure :laugh:
 
Sorry to hear this man my wife just lost her job last monday so i know how you feel right now cause i dont know witch way is up or down at this point good luck in whatever you pursue man

The beemer? Gently used? :rofl: I think "properly used" would be more accurate. It's gorgeous, brother; obviously a source of great pride and joy. Good luck with that one.

I'm glad you're not holding the entire x-organization responsible for the manner in which you were released. There are some truly good people there. We know some of them...and we respect them.

You are young and resilient, talented and charismatic. You'll find some high-profile cash cow right away and probably become disgruntled with them in less than a couple of years. Trust me.

Though, in hind-sight, I think flashing is actually exposing a full- or partial Monty. In this case, I simply :moon: .

I'm taking this opportunity to thank you, publicly, for whipping me only once. It would have been interesting to see the resultant mark.

PS: I'd like to see that picture before you post it. At least then, I can be ready for the back-lash.
