Honestly I never really thought about this until this weekend... I was talking to a guy that told me that he had been married for 24 years and they had never consumated the marriage.. EVER!

I used to work with a guy who believed the same thing. I never understood it but it wasnt my place to disagree. It lasted a few years before his wife left him.

That's too funny!!!! Remember when his book came out, 20,000 women, we were trying to figure it out back then and it came out to like 6 women a day or something like that. Yea rightttttttt.....

That couple needed a counselor - but hey, they've stayed together 24 years so who am I to criticize? Of course, did he say he consumated with others instead?
Never let them eat the wedding cake! Yes, after you get married, sex takes on a whole new meaning for most WIVES as they no longer have to entice you to notice them or support them. Then kids come along and that throws a monkey wrench into a lot of women's labidos (but not normally the man). So yes it gets tougher but you just have to work at it just like everything else. But, unless there are health issues, a sexless marriage is not normally a healthy one, physically or emotionally and will eventually lead to a breakup or the unsatisfied partner seeking it elsewhere.
Pray that you or your wife are infertile and you've hit the sex jackpot... Want sex? Get a women mid - thirties with a ticking biologically clock. They're sex hounds until the big P happens!

I dont care what anyone says all women are a like. When we say i do they say i do not anymore sucker! When we say whats mine is yours baby they say whats mine is mine and whats yours is half mine too!

I don't understand this reply??? For your edification, after almost 23 years of marriage our sex life is better than ever!! Believe me when I say we have always had a very very healthy relationship.

Been there, done that...it wasn't completely sexless, but over time I realized the web was where his mind was, online chat/girlfriends, etc...I'll tell you, that hurts even more than actual cheating I think. I just never understood why anyone would trade a real person for all the make believe on the web. Eventually, for lots of reasons, I did end the marriage, but to this day, a huge part of all of the hurt was related to this very subject.
I do have friends that were completely sexless for 5 years before SHE ended it...another couple went for over a year when they finally crumbled. I honestly don't know how you remain close to your spouse if you're not maintaining some sort of sex life together...

See the thing is, a relationship is way more than sex. A relationship is building a partnership with a friend and enjoying life together. Sex should compliment the relationship, and not be the main focus. Continue to be single and have sex with countless women, if you prefer to lay in your deathbed with no wife or children next to you, that's your choice.
Sex is a great, but it is also blind. You will never be happy if all you care about is the physical pleasure your body wants to share with many women.
We all have life choices.
Many marriages have ended because the guy or girl were too selfish to not control their bodies and not be happy sexually with their spouse.
This is something that I never understood.
