No music. not because it's too dangerous, but because all the earphones I've tried have hurt my ears after an hour or two riding. Might try some other brands though cuz I sure like music on the long trips...:beerchug:

I ride with very soft earplugs. I use my Chatterbox speakers for music. Keeps the wind noise down, and I can still hear the traffic around me. I gave up on headphones for the same reason.

I usually don't unless i am going on a long ride. When I do, I but one ear bud in and the volume is not too loud. I am able to here my engine when I change gears.???

I still plan to ride more with my mp3 player, I really like it. Keep the comments coming. It seems that most responses indicate negative inclination, yet the votes are almost 2 to 1 for yes. Interesting.

I ride with tunes. Either an am/fm radio or an mp3 player. It really helps with the boredom on long rides and music or just radio to have something instead if plain earplugs.

cant stand the high volume it requires to hear the music. I have tried it a few times but was about deaf when stopped.

Use those little squishy foam earplugs. You'll still be able to hear the music and the wind noise will be gone.

I use my Chatterbox to plug in my iPod. Works for me. In the twisties, I listen to Bach and get better lap times 'cause it totally relaxes me.

Everything under the sun for all the other roads out there!

+1

I use EAR brand earplugs. i buy them by the case and keep several packs in my bags at all times.

Playlists are great for varying your riding also. I typically have 3 different ones on my player and choose the appropriate one given my mood and the riding area/conditions.

I've also found that my player is loaded with more music that is instrumental than lyrical. I guess I use it more for a "soundtrack" than a sing-a-long.

always rememebr at the bash james. i had to get batteries for mine before i came to hunt you down for juli.

so no matter where i go i stick my earbuds in. it reduces wind noise since i usually dont ride with a helmet. (yeah i said it)

but captain also made fun of me for singing during the photo shoot so

i woudl try it just get a stem stand velvro an mp3 plaer there or even a tank bag..
i love my ipod touch cause i can easily change what i am listening to on the go

Good point Chris, my mp3 is small and hard to manipulate with gloves on. I will have Juli for something larger. :please:

WAG gave me the idea to use a Chatterbox and my wifey bought me the ipod so now I'm hooked... I also wear the earplugs unless they irritate my ears but they sure did help my riding by blocking out wind noise...

This is what I play while in traffic...

I have a stupid question: what is it that makes people think it's dangerous to listen to tunes while you're riding?

For highway rides I will but for tooling around in in the city I like to hear what's happening around me as well as listening to the engine, as I find it's relaxing.

well for me im afraid im not gonna hear screaching tires behind me or sirens or horns honking. i just feel like when im on my bike i need to be aware of everything around me and now one of my sinces are gone. i want to listen to my mp3 though. im thinking of using one ear piece. i know i may be being extreme.
