I had a TRE on when I bought the Busa. I've had it dyno tuned. Do I need to retune after removing the TRE? I can't see why I would but want opinions.

I guess it would depend on the TRE. Some fool the ECU into thinking the bikes always in 5th gear. My understanding is that each gear has a different map. That might just be timing and could be totally different from a dyno pull that sets the A/F.

I didn't retune mine after I took it off. Haven't noticed any problems. I would like to retune it and most likely will but can't afford it right now. I think we are ok?

I think I will be ok. I may try and save up cash for a full exhaust this winter and will need a tune again anyhow. :). Yay me for finding more things to spend money's on.

Dyno tunes are done in 5th gear and your TRE makes the bike think it's in 5th gear all the time so you won't notice any difference therefore no need to re-tune at all.
