Removed front tire for change out

I hope I'm OK here but I accidently brused up against the front brake lever after the tire was removed. The outside brake pad on the right caliper was slightly loose so I stuck a piece of cardboard between the two pads to hold them in place until I get the new tire mounted tomorrow. Yikes....my question is did I screw up my brakes??? Note: No brake fluid leakage and the left side caiper seems to be OK.
Thanks to you experts on the subject in advance!!

Nope, no harm done. I've done it too

Just take a big, flat-head screwdriver and stick it between the pads...then rotate the screwdriver - it will open up the gap and you'll be able to reinstall the wheel.
