On my Gen1 I just bought some to replace them. This time I went down to the store and got some SS allen heads to replace them. Saved some money, look identical to the other ones and got them the same day :)

The ones from smithabusa (boostbysmith.com) have the shoulder on them that matches the factory franken-bolts. I have those. Just wanna warn you cause I tried the same thing you did back with my Gen 1 and the rear tail cowling cracked where the bolts go in. Let us know how yours hold up.

These look identical to the ones I ran for 4 years on my Gen1 with no issues. I kinda dig them be sunken in (or just use to it, lol), but I'm not worried about cracking. Just like on my Gen1 the bolts don't really hold anything together since they're sunk in, not really sure how it'd end up cracking?

Dunno, I bought my gen 1 used and there's a chance the rear cowling was cracked when I got it and the Frankenbolts just made it worse? I don't remember at this point, but if it works out for you

Fingers are crossed! :) Also since it's a new bike I don't have swingarm spools yet so I just removed those and used them so I could put it on a stand! :)

Only problem is if they don't have the lip they aren't holding anything. So essentially you could leave them out and serve the same purpose...

Yep you're definitely correct sir. It did cross my mind, though already bought them and didn't want to look like they're missing :)

Anyone got a pic they want to share of what they look like with a shoulder? I'm debating going the washer route or just adding smaller ones so my bolts aren't so sunken in looking. I guess I never noticed it much on the 03 with a silver tail, but this tail is darker and stands out more.

Okay, I offically dig them! Think I may just have to order a set... in fact got full exhaust on the way and always heard you're the man to talk to for a bit of HP bump too. Starting to look on your site now. Thanks!

I'm in no hurry for a ECU change...yet. But definitely something to do within the coming months for sure to make sure the new bike is performing like it should. :)

lol, that crossed my mind right after I clicked POST. Do you have an ETA on those bolts? I'm in no hurry to buy them, I don't mind waiting till you get more in so I can make the purchase through you. :)
