rear shock spring adjustment

I m installing a set of axle extentions on my 00. The extentions are going to put the wheel back somewhere in the 4-5 inch range. I'm going to install a set of lowering links, which has 3 adjustment holes, and I'm going to start with the center hole. I guess i'll drop the front end down about an inch as well. I have a riser plate and can drop it in the front safely about an inch. As far as the rear shock goes, I was looking at the service manual, and they have a measured length of 183 mm on the rear shock, They say, don't go lower than 180mm, and don't go above 190mm. I'm thinking of setting it at 180mm, in hope of a somewhat decent ride, and to help with any clearance issues with the rear inner fender. No one will be riding on the bike in the rear. Anybody have any ideas? on what height seems to work with the extentions? Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks Tom
