Yup still in Gulfport... Katrina couldn't blow me away! Actually I live North of I-10 so I was okay except for the 30 some odd trees that fell around the house
Dang! We were just IN Gulfport in November!
You know a guy named Seth? Rides a HD? Lives off of 29.

Yep, we were right there. Wish I had known you were so close, woulda stopped by to say hey.

Here's a pic of a busa who lives in the same town. She and her husband own a bike shop but are getting ready to sell it. It wins best in show everywhere. What do you think? I used to want to do something like that until I realized that it sits in the shop and gets ridden but once a week, if that. It's beautiful though. Any of you who have been to Panama City or Daytona the past two years may have seen it.

No it was taken in Holt Florida two years ago. Holt is where the 1/8 drag strip is and they're having their 6th or 7th annual bike rally at the end of April (busa bash weekend.)

I'm more of a "Functional" type person. Not so much bling.

But the paint job is kind of interesting.

DahMurf, the wind off of your bike was blowing my hair back from watching the video! AWESOME!! Your online name should be "Need4MoreSpeed!" Faster Faster!

All we have out here is a dinky 1/8 dragstrip. I need a 1/4 mile.
Purple,
Not sure if you know about this track locator, but here you go just incase you don't... (track locator). We use the link off the bottom of our (race page) because Twin Jugs Racing isn't as hard to remember as the locator site when we need it(at least for us it's not).
But here's what I found down that way, and I agree the 1/4 tracks do look scarce around you for sure

Florida:

Alabama:

By the way, Deb's run in that onboard video was about a year ago at the 1-mile concrete course in (Maxton) that we run on. There's a small handful of people down your way that run with us there 5 times a year, and two of the owners are not far from you in Enterprise Alabama actually. They are avid drag race supporters and well known lsr racers of cars(and they have recently taken on a good bit of bike riding also).

What kind of numbers are you running in the 1/8 btw?

Well it looks like a couple of the links didn't work right or link all the way? Just go to the locator page, search "by type" and put in your "state", "paved" and "drag" to pull up those strips closest to you.

I met her (and her husband) a few times with PCola Riders in pensacola; there was another guy that used to ride with them, I think his name was Brian - had a custom painted skull busa...
Very beautiful bikes.

Are you close to Pensacola MC? The guy with the skull busa is Jeremy. You probably met him when his bike was black with skulls. Acutally, that's his bike next to hers before he got it painted black. That paint was glow in the dark. He did the burnout contest and won last year with the black busa and messed up some things, insurance somehow covered it and now he put a 360 on the back and some other crazy new skull paint job. He's got lights integrated with the paint to look like the eyes light up and he still didn't win next to the fairy busa.

Narider, I don't take my bike to the strip. I've seen 1000's pull away from the busas with no problems, probably better riders who knows. The 1/4 strip would be more exciting I think. Thanks for the links! What I'm wanting to do is buy some cheap, beat up fairings and change it over if I ever do go to a strip and take it to a track.

Jeremy, that is right. He was a Marine -
I think I recognize the pic in your avatar - wasn't that submitted for an ICON contest or for modeling or something on PCola riders? I used to live in Milton - John Cohorn is the only mechanic who has put his hands on my Bessie, besides me. Which reminds me, I need to call him...

I don't know if we have ever met, but if you ever went to Sonic for Bike Night on Fairfleid, chances are that we have...

IMO, no. It was a good looking pic alright, just not the right thread Bill. I don't know who doused it, but it wasn't irrelevant to this thread title.
