2009, start of summer, clear sky's, early morning, highway 401 Toronto ON, my destination Kingston ON and the mode of transport the 2008 SUZUKI Hayabusa broken in demo model. The gentleman who purchased it the day before was not too keen on riding the beast so he asked his friend to take it home for him, his friend would not touch it so I was contacted by his friends wife and I said yes, yes I would take the burden of transporting the bike to Kingston I didn't even ask why he didn't trailer it home this my friend was an opportunity! I left Saturday morning I opened her up and she just flew, I was on the back of a falcon responsive, agile, comfortable yet emencely terrifyingly powerful but I was in heavenly bliss. I made a few stops along the way and at every stop I had an audience it was just a beautiful day and I knew then I had to have one. The sportbike bug was back

I think you will enjoy this summer and the wait makes it feel like......... Let's just say you're waiting for that dream girl you've been dating to envite you upstairs for tea, if you know what I mean:laugh:

Have fun brother and please keep safe, full gear all the time! Once you get above 20MPH a whole lot of damage can occur bicycle or motorbike

I got of that bike a few times and just gazed at it and asked myself why would anyone make something on two wheels so freaking powerful, and then why in the he'll would I ride it

Aug / Sept '06. Nice easy ride home. The guy that sold me the bike and insisted on trailering it home for me had scared the **** out of me. I followed the manuals break in, so it was a while before I felt the thrill.

I had the FJ1200, then ZX-11D, then it was time for the Busa back in late 2003. I posted up on this board I was looking for a '00 Blue/Silver as a newb. Someone pm'd me from LABusa's and purchased it. Gingerly riding home with wife and kid in tow in the mini-van on the freeway. The Pashnit Touring Co started a few months later and what a ride it has been!

Me leaving the guys' house for the first 10 feet on the bike.

lol, i have has a katana back in the day! i wrecked it three times, put 60k plus miles on it and took it to hell and back. it was very unforgiving and always asked for more. i loved that bike, anyway it got stolen and wasnt the same when i got a different katana. this was some odd years ago!

the story on how i got my 02 busa! i hada a real nice 02 s.e. roadking, i kept having problems with it and i missed haveing a sportbike. since my heart was broken over my katana. i decided to go with a gsxr. i placed a craigs trade ad and walla, this guy with a 02 busa connected me. i didnt want to seem over excited, so since im experienced! i kept him dangling on the hook and just enough to make him more interested in the trade!

finally the day came to check out each others bikes. i saw the busa and just about came in my pants, of course i didnt show my excitement. but his face was in love with the roadking. after we traded, it reminded me alot of the katana. that old feeling was BACK. lol, this busa is custom everything and with a program on it! i thought to myself i need to give this bike alot of RESPECT...ALOT!

after telling myself im not gonna stretch this powerband to redline, WELL... i couldnt resist, just alittle tease i told my self. i was on the fwy doing 80 and going home, i had a long stretch so? what did i do!

while going 80 on the fwy and a motorcyclist on a r1 trailing me and taunting me...i raved that busa and kicked it down a gear and dumped the clutch and pegged the throttle!! O M G, i just about sh#t my pants, this damn thing whipped my back and like a stunt man trying to crawl back on this missle and hugged and cum on the tank and i swore to my higher power the front tire came up of the ground! i looked in my mirrors and over my shoulder and the r1 was just a spec in the horizon behind me. I thought, hell to the yes! this puma (busa) is one bad *****. when i finally thought about what i just done, my knees started to buckle and shack and i was trembling. btw, i dont easily scare! i got home ina flash and had to settle my nerves, did you know i kepted looking at puma thru the window all night and in love! lol

honest and true i love my BUSA!!!

I wrecked my 03 GSX-R 600 after some one pulled out in front of me. I then took the insurance company for everything they had and began my search for an orange/black 08 Hayabusa. The very next week a guy in the same town as I was living in listed his for $8500 with 7500 miles on it. I went and looked at it and it was super clean and worth the cash. I told him that I would think about it and offered him $8000 when I walked away. He called me on the phone and told me "his boss" which was also his wife wanted the bike gone and he would take $8000. The rear tire had a nail in it, so I limped home with it which was only about 3 miles away.

As I was waiting for the PR2's to come in, I removed all silver pieces to include the fairing bolts and powder coated them at a friends house with a home powder coating kit. After that, I had the tires swapped, and we set out on a long 400 mile ride and had a blast. The bike performs better than I can imagine, even to this day it catches me off guard how nice the Hayabusa is. My friend rides an 07 ZX-14 and that is when I realized that the Hayabusa is the right bike for me.

I have since put nearly 25K miles on it and all sorts of mods. My favorite though is the cruise control which lets me set the throttle and just enjoy the ride.

A really good friend of mine owned a gen 2 busa and I was riding a cbr 600 on its final legs.. so we went to the local dealership to look for replacement lo and behold the zx-14 was there! so we did our own half hour test drive comparison between the two and honestly was the funnest 30 mins ever. I rode the zx first and props for its comfortability and smoothness, but once I got on the busa I couldnt deny the rawness, for me I valued the sportier feel of the hayabusa although both bikes are impeccable. This was the first time I rode any bikes over 650 cc's and I musta been sayin oh sh*t, oh sh*t, oh sh*t in my head the whole time, with a big **** eating grin on my face :laugh:

I sold the cbr shortly and picked up a gen 1, still amazes me how I can almost double the speed limit in the 1st or 2nd gear :grinning:

Ok so I never really liked hayabusa :p , about 2 years ago when I was looking for a new bike my friend was selling is Busa and kept on telling to buy is bike. So finally after 2 weeks of him busting my b*lls to buy is bike I decided to take it for a test ride. This was my first time on a Busa, I was skeptical on the way it would handle on such a big bike, I always owed 600 and 1000. Let me tell you right then and there I fell in love. As soon I came back from my test ride I bought the Busa. Best bike I've own up to now, Fast, handles good and super comfortable for those long rides.

Ok so there I was, naw just kidding, but back in 2000 I decided I wanted a bike and picked up a Katana. I like it for price and it was a good starter bike. Fast forward to 2008 I get back from Mytle Beach, stop in my local shop in Texas and there she was calling my name.

I bring her home from work and compared to (my can of tuna) at this point because nothing I had ever road gave me that power. That next night was a bike night in Austin about 45 min away and going down I-35 I was in heaven just weaving thru traffic with ease. Got back home that night and I was hooked. Next day told a co-workers just offer something for my Katana because I am never mounting her again... Happily ever after

First ride on a Busa was when I flew up to Chicago and rode it back to Nashville. The whole 450+ miles I was smiling ear to ear... The power is so smooth just roll it on and the speedometer needle just sweeps. From down low 2000 RPMS all the way up... The fun begins around 5000... Ohh and the feeling of the front raising up under power is unexplainable..
Warning she will take you to warp speed with little effort. You dont realize your running a high rate of speed since its so aerodynamically designed. Seems like it just keeps running better as the miles rack up.

I jump from a 600 to the busa, I knew that it was a lot of difference so I took it easy for a lil bit, once I felt comfortable and twisted that throttle......wooooshhhh.....I tell you, I think that throttle must had something conected to my face muscles because a smile came up right away

Ahh yes. The mighty busa. I first had a gsx650f which was my first bike. I loved that thing so much. I would ride it evertwhere. After about 2 years I started to feel.the limits of its power when this Benz SMOKED me from a second gear roll on. That was the first time I started looking into the ho of the bike I was riding...paltry 80 hp. I was devastated. Especially since my co worker said his gsxr 1000 had 150 hp or so. Around that time I went into my local dealership and saw sat on a bigger bike. The zx-14 I liked the look of it and most important it was comfortable (im 6'4"). I really liked it but couldnt afford.it at the time. So I started doing research on big comfortable bikes and I clicked on a link that led me to a thread on the org. I knew of.the busa but i thought it was just for those guys that like to do stunts all the time. But I saw what kind of people where talking about it on here so I went the next day to sit on one. The first one I saw was a gen I and I did not like the look of it too much until the showed me the orange and black gen II. The styling was much more aggressive AMD I LOVED the tail on it. So thus began my search for one but then BAM. I got laid off

I was crushed that I would have to stick with my bike. A year later and back to work and I find.the perfect one.in san Antonio. I decide to go get it. I almost bought one from an org member but the deal fell through and boy am I glad it did (as I'm sure he is cause hey he still has his busa too) it had so many extras on it and after years of sitting on them on dealerships I was finally on.my way!!!! I took it easy at first to get used to it and at low speeds it did not feel much different than my old.bike. but then came the inevitable stretch of empty highway. So o said let me see what all the fuss is about and hit it in 4 th. At first it felt like my old bike. Spooled.up.pretty good. But then something happened......it..just....kept.....GOING AND GOING!!!!!! I could feel the pull on my shoulders and then my back slammed into the hump. I could not BELIEVE this damn bike just threw me back in the seat!!!!!!! I'm a big guy and I got THROWN backwards. So I said BS I just wasn't ready and did it again and BAM I'm struggling to crawl back on.the handle bars. I fought with bike and lost TWICE!!!! and it just kept pulling!!!!! Got to about 160mph. Let off.the gas and pulled.to the side. Got off the bike in neutral and just stared at it and it stared back growling at me like who's the boss. Then it hit me, not only did it woop me TWICE when I was ready it was only in fifth and STILL could have gone about 30mph faster!!!! All I could do was look at it and say holy sh** the whole way home bug eyed. I had been busa shocked!!! I am pretty sure it is about the same as being shell.shocked.only with a much bigger smiley!!! Holy sh** this thing is a BEAST!!!!
