radar detection

SV, that's why I didn't go for the remote mount. I move my V1 from cage to truck to bike all the time.
The V1 uses a telephone jack which you can hard wire from the power end, then simply snap out at the unit.I use the visor clip which came with the V1(I padded it)on the ZG screen, and the unit sits there just below eye level;easily seen. I can unplug the jack, slide the unit out of the clip, and walk to the cage in 5 seconds or less. In the car I use a lighter plug in, also supplied. A tiny piece of black velcro on the under side of the screen keeps the clip from moving. The clip also comes off in seconds if desired. There is a separate control which you must buy if you want to use a helmet earplug.
I'm not saying that this setup is the absolute best. It just works best for me.

Check out the custom made Radar Detector mount for the Busa. A friend of mine, who owns High Gear Specialties Co., makes accessories and
trick parts for all kinds of bikes. One of the things, I have been using on
my "Busa" for some time, is called a "Stem Stand" which they have a patent
pending on.
The " Stem Stand" is excellent for mounting Radar Detectors, Audio
Equipment,GPS, etc.....
