Race Fuel Dynos!!!

I wanted to see the difference or gains from one to the next. Mainly to see the power vs cost difference. Im here in texas and have a good friend that lives in San Antonio who can swing by the VP RACING plant and pick it up for me so the price is cheaper... So I decided to buy a pail of MS109 and MR12. THe bike already had U4.4 in it. This is the break down on my bike.

COST
U4.4........... $74.00............. 5 gallons
Ms109......... $60.00.............. 5 gallons
Mr12.......... $110.00............. 5 gallons

DYNO NUMBERS
U4.4...................... 213whp 121wtq
Ms109................... 215whp 123wtq
Mr12...................... 216whp 124wtq

What I will say is that the tune from u4.4 too MR12 did not require any real adjustment. MS109 required alot. As far as power and torque the graph literally chased each other up the rpm band.

Sidenotes!!!

*MS109 smells bad!!! If you leave it sealed in your garage or in the bike it will stink up the place. Put it in a fringe if you have one in the garage.

*MR12 is just nasty!! Make sure after you run it you flush it out with something else. Everyone says it will ruin fuel parts. The throttle response on MR12 is worlds better then MS109 or U4.4 even if the dyno doesnt show the gains.

NOW E85 VS MR12 VS Q16
We dynoed one of the shop bikes today with MR12 in the tank. Its very humid today FYI... The results

MR12.............223 whp 132 wtq
E85................216 whp 127 wtq
Q16................217 whp 129 wtq

Sidenotes!!

*MR12 is 22.00 a gallon vs E85 at 3.16
*E85 also sign off early making peak power at 10,200 vs 10,500

On a customers bike we tested pump gas 87 vs u4.4

pump gas......187whp/104wtq
u4.4.............197whp/107wtq

KEEP IN MIND ALL THE BIKES ARE TUNED TOO THE FUELS!!!

I know that some of the fuels say pour in and go but we found that all the fuel required tuning it get the power out of the fuel.

Find the 7's brother

Working on it bro!! Got s2000 injectors coming.........the kit is on the bike just have to wire up the NLR box and wait for the tuner to get back to tune it on dope... Its really hot here in Texas but we are gonna give it a shot.. Tune it to 1/8 mph then go for it!!

What were the motor specs of the one that you used Q16? Im suprised that it made low hp. Was the motor high compression?

The motor comp was in the upper 13.'s Q16 makes less power because it has less qxy content then the lower octane fuels ie mr12,u4.4,ms109.. VP import has even less qxy content because its 120 plus octane.. If your running 15.1 comp ms109 would make more power then q16 assuming you didnt detonate due to the high compression.

quick update: now that my bike is broke in she makes 218whp/126wtq on ms109

Would you say that MS109 would be a better choice over MR12 due to 1. cheaper 2. it makes about the same power.

So you said the MS109 required a lot more tuning.... Is that just making adjustments to the tune or having to actually add a lot more fuel through out the RPM range?
